Honestly, kind of what I was expecting, but at the same time also a great bagel shop. Our interest was piqued when we were watching Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and saw this place featured on the episode. Upon arrival, we were shocked that this place wasn't bigger, nevertheless, the food was good. It was exactly what I would've expected from a bagel place. I got the everything bagel with 2 eggs and turkey bacon. It's highly recommended. My husband got a sesame bagel with butter. He liked his. After looking at the extensive menu, we can't wait to come back to try burgers and sandwiches. We also took home several bagels that we can't wait to try. This was in a decent sized shopping complex that offered lots of options ranging from omelets to burgers to salads.  We ate there and the food was ready quickly. I had a pork roll loaded burger ($9.95) and a side of fries ($3.50?).  The burger was topped with tater tots and Russian dressing.  It was served on a grilled jalapeno cheddar bagel.  It came with a side of a pickle and coleslaw.  They were both appetizing and the coleslaw was not too overdressed.  The burger came out piping hot and took some time for it to cool down.  They did not ask how I wanted the burger to be cooked as it came out to a medium well temperature, a little much for me.  However, the combination of all the toppings really made up for it.  There was plenty of pork roll and tater tots added.  The Russian dressing was a nice touch and I should have added more.  The bagel was tasty too, but just not a ton of jalapeno flavor.  The fries were rather plain though.Will I go back?  No doubt. My friend has always claimed that this place has THE best bagels on the planet and yes, the bagels are fantastic, but are they the best? Probably not. I got their egg and cheese sandwich with a toasted onion bagel and we also got a blueberry bagel with a walnut and raisin spread to share. Both were delicious, but I have a soft spot for all things sweet so I especially liked the blueberry one. Their walnut and raisin spread was very unique, not too sweet and had a nice texture to it. I trust that their other spreads would probably be really yummy too. The shop itself has a nice old-school American vibe, which I liked. You can also tell by the steady stream of people in and out of the shop and the constant 10 to 15-person line at the cashier, that this is clearly a well-loved food spot and I totally see why. This has been my go-to breakfast/brunch/lunch place since senior year of high school, and I'm pretty sure many locals/high school seniors go to place just because how delicious and affordable everything is. They have an assortment of bagels, breakfast food items such as waffles and French toast, and sandwiches. I usually get the egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel because I don't have a sweet tooth. My brother, on the other hand, had a huge sweet tooth and orders the chocolate chip pancakes. Their fresh bagels are truly a morning delight on the weekends. I am not the biggest fan of bagels, but my gf and I truly enjoy their freshly made Jalapeno bagel with cream cheese! Only reason for 4 stars is it was my first time there and I would like to try more off the menu. But I had the whole wheat French toast with blueberries and it was great! Biggest blueberries I ever had and none of them mushy the French toast was very good. Very popular bagel place in the Plainsboro shopping center.  We always stop in when we visit the dentist's office as we live quite a distance away but used to live here when this space housed a bicycle shop and a video store (remember those? )They have indoor/outdoor seating, serve yourself coffee, lots of bagels and spreads, pancakes, omelettes (including build your own), chips, sandwiches, sodas, bottled water, etc. The usual fair for breakfast, brunch and lunch.I had the Farmers omelette which consisted of 3 eggs, cheese, tomatoes and came with fries and a bagel. We moved to the Plainsboro/Cranbury area two years ago and they have officially ruined any other bagel for us, as they are HANDS DOWN THE BEST! Always fresh: soft on the inside, perfect on the outside, and warm as they're always making new batches. They even make homemade cream cheeses in a variety of flavors, and seasonal ones as well (pumpkin with pumpkin cream cheese, anyone?) My favorite is their jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cheddar cream cheese. Stopped in for lunch today and ordered a tuna salad sandwhich on an everything bagel. The tuna salad was pretty good and it came with a pickle and side of coleslaw. The only thing I'd say could of improved is the everything bagel could of used more everything! I felt it had very little seeds. Everything was really good though the bagel tasted super fresh! There is plenty of seating inside and even a few tables outside for a nice day. The service was fast as well! Just beware from about 12 to 1245 they can get pretty busy! We came across this place unintentionally, and the rest was history. We were in search of a good breakfast sandwich and came across Bagel Street Grill, which had been featured in Diner, Drive-ins, amd Dives. I have tried a couple of different sandwiches, and the french toast sticks. I've tried the egg cheese turkey bacon, egg cheese porkroll, and an egg cheese sausage on a plain bagel and roll. The bagels are fresh, and one of the best tasting New Jersey bagels I have ever had. Every breakfast sandwich that I've tried is delicious. The french toast sticks are soft, decadent, and to die for. This has been my favorite bagel shop for years. It is now under new ownership. The bagels are still great, but the omelets are not as good as they used to be and there was no low fat tuna salad in the takeout case. I wonder what else has changed.

I was in Princeton for the night and placed an order with Bagel Street Grill to being home breakfast for my family the following morning.  I ordered: Pork roll loaded burger, bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, cream cheese and sliced nova lox on a vegetable bagel and a French toast bagel with cream cheese. So. I can only give four stars because my pick up order was messed up. I did not receive my French toast bagel and the lox sandwich was on a plain bagel,  not vegetable, and did not have any capers.  Part of this was my fault as I did not check the order prior to leaving so that would be my only recommendation is to double check your order. Have been coming here since I was really young and I have always loved this place. Their bagels are awesome as is the rest of their food. My go to is always a bagel with a side of the potato wedges, they're the best. The food is usually consistent and the place is always packed on weekends so expect a wait. The staff is mostly young high school students so it is important to stay patient with them considering they don't have it all together with the ordering at the counter process. The bagels here are huge. I mean like width and length wise. More expensive then other places though at 1.10 per bagel and 3. 50 for one with veggie or walnut raisin cream cheese(+.25 with tax).They are mad chewy and stick to the insides of your mouth they are so soft. The garden vegetable bagel with veggie cream cheese was so good. I mean the pairing just made so much sense and you get all the notes of carrots and celery. The cinnamon raisin bagel on the other hand just wasn't as chewy and more stiff. Plus the walnut raisin cream cheese we got with it had like no walnut. For that spread bagel hole is much better. In all would come again except when I went it took 20 mins to prepare these two bagels and many people who came after me got their complex sandwiches before me which was annoying. I finally got to stop by bagel street grill after seeing them on an episode of DD&D a while ago. It was around 10.30am and they were quite busy. I was in a rush so I just got a jalapeno bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese. They had a very wide variety of sweet and savory bagels, sandwiches and coffee. Service was ok and I only waited a couple of minutes for my order. The bagel was good it had just the right amount of chew and a hint of spice from the jalapeno and the cream cheese was awesome. I must say there was nothing mind blowing about the bagel, there are a lot of bagel spot with bagels as good or even better. If I lived in the area I'll stop by once in a while to grab a bit. I thought the bagels here were average bagels. I like bagels with a crispy crust on them and these were more soft than crispy. The lox spread though was SO GOOD. It was the best cream cheese lox spread I've had so far. It's fishy and creamy and light. It's easy to spread.
