Bacon & Caviar

We first heard of Bacon and Caviar catering from a good friend who had booked them for their wedding. Shortly after that, Paul and his staff were at the Pink Bridal show in Nashville where we got to taste a few delicious bites and got his information to contact him at a later date for a formal tasting. We talked with Paul about the type of food we wanted (it was a winter wedding so wanted some good comfort foods) and scheduled a tasting. Come tasting day we walked into a one on one sit down with Paul while he brought out item after item of appetizers, entrees, and sides for us to taste. Practically everything was delicious and it was making our choices very difficult. We finally settled on a menu that we thought our guest would enjoy - and they sure did! We got so many compliments on every aspect of the food from so many people throughout the night. Trust us, you can’t go wrong with the brisket and scalloped sweet potatoes. The staff was incredibly professional, efficient, and upbeat all night. We hired our bartenders through B&C and they were absolutely amazing! They would learn what your drink was and be already pouring it when they saw you walking up to the bar. We also had special whiskey tastings which the bartenders ensured went smoothly. We got married in November 2018 and people are STILL raving about the food and staff (it's January). When people come to weddings, I don't ever think they expect to be blown away by the food, especially if it's a buffet, and they were! We did a carving station and thought it was worth the extra money. We also used their bar staff - incredible. We heard that the serving staff was fun, energetic, and kind to guests. AMAZING. my boyfriend and I shared a brisket plate with baked beans and mac and cheese. the brisket was delicious, and so were the sauces, even though the brisket was so good you didn't even need the sauce. the mac and cheese was so creamy and tasty. the baked beans may have been my favorite part, the spice texture of the sauce were perfect. we were sadly only stopping through on our drive home to West Virginia, but I would definitely recommend this place or go again if given the chance. the staff were also wonderful and a pleasure to talk to More...

Walking into the food court area we could smell the BBQ. We walked around trying to decide what to eat, but that intoxicating smell of BBQ pulled us in! I had the pork plate over bacon grits with green beans and mac 'n' cheese. The grits were so creamy and were a great compliment to the amazing pork BBQ. I wasn't impressed with the green beans, but did enjoy the mac 'n' cheese! My husband had the brisket plate with bacon grits and baked beans. His brisket was tender and smokey. B&C catered our son's rehearsal dinner for 74 folks and it was amazing! Everyone said the food was delicious. We had citrus glazed salmon, hickory smoked chicken, cheese grits, roasted veggies, scalloped sweet potatoes that were to die for, mixed green watermelon and blueberry salad, honey corn muffins, chocolate gravy cake (YUMMY), banana pudding and chess tarts. I work near by and had to cut myself off from visiting for lunch so often. When I first went to B&C's I wasn't expecting much since it was just a small BBQ joint in the Farmer's Market. After I ordered I was converted into a believer and had to come at least once a week for the following month. People rave about the mac and cheese, which is good, but I'm all about that potato salad!

To say that the brisket bbq was phenomenal would be an understatement. This was by far the best brisket I have ever tasted. It was so masterfully cooked that to put any one of their wonderful sauces on it would be disrespectful to the meat. They also give generous portions of the meat on the sandwich as well. We tried several different caterers and Bacon & Caviar was by far the best. The consultation was in a room, where the chef just keeps bringing you delicious food and tea, to the point that you literally are so full and there is still food coming out. We ate to the point of being full during the consultation and still had two big boxes of food that we ate on for another day afterwards. During the wedding, we had a buffet style meal, with 7 servers for our tables and 3 bartenders. We had a plated salad on the table for our guests while the dances and announcements were happening, and then we had the tables come up for the buffet. My wife and I chose Bacon and Caviar to cater our wedding reception at our planner's suggestion. These folks do not mess around when it comes to food. We had a bacon wrapped tenderloin stuffed with rice and cranberries as our entree. Yes, it was as good as it sounds....actually 10x better. The same goes for the greens salad, sides and appetizers. All the food was just off the charts delicious. Paul and Angel are super great to work with. Their staff was fantastic with our buffet setup and drink serving at the reception. I love that B&C hasn't hopped on the trend of the high-dollar, hipster 'cue with small portions like some other places in town. Their prices are reasonable & the food quality/quantity is good. As best I can tell the 'caviar' refers to their grits, which are awesome. I recommend the Buffalo Chicken style and might have been guilty of taking a pint home with me on occasion. More...
