This was an AMAZING breakfast! Don't let the line outside deter you! I was with a friend and We saw the line outside and almost left due to our time crunch and it being a Sunday morning! Soooo glad we didn't!! We got seated immediately The wait staff was super sweet and the place had a cute super country/ magnolia kitchen vibe. I chose this location over the j street one simply due to stars. There's also a parking lot with ample parking on the side. Every time we have driven by this place there was always a line of people outside waiting to eat ... & now I know why! This place is SO good. Ate their this morning & lucked out with seats at the bar - no wait - it is decorated cute inside with nice vibe. My hubs & I split the grilled cheese benedict & oh my tastebuds, soooo yum! The bread of the grilled cheese, nothin like I've ever had & the combo with the cheese & bacon &&& theeen they just throw a Benny on the whole thing. Unique & decadent. You will likely have to wait to get in but YES it's worth the wait! Everything is made from scratch and it's just so fresh. We ordered a cinnamon roll to take home for later, and it was incredibly flaky and delicious. They have house favorites on the menu, as well as seasonal dishes. I took a girl here for our first date, which I know is unusual but it's how the schedules aligned. I had the Eggs Benedict and she had an omelette. Both were delicious. The hollandaise was perfect and the bacon was cooked to perfection.It is a diner but worked well for a first date. The staff was friendly, and the service prompt. This is a very popular location, so I highly recommend getting there right at opening if you don't have much time. The line grows into the parking lot very quickly. Worth every bit of time and money. The wait is always present, but it will be worth it. We waited about 45 min but the service was prompt and helpful. We made sure to take home a cinnamon roll because it was a special for the day. The roll was flaky and not overly sweet. The biscuit was similar in that it was flaky. This place was great the food was so delicious and full of flavor. If you're in Sacramento you have to try this place for breakfast their pear and pecan french toast is off the chart so are there pancakes.

Not so hidden gem of Sacramento. I was looking for breakfast places that were on our way to Tahoe. After reserching a bit on yelp I bookmarked this spot. We got here around 9:30 am and the place was jam packed. There was a 30 minute wait. The hostess at the door takes down your name, party size and asks you to wait outside.It seemed like a popular place for office holiday parties. Outside the had a bench and newspapers to keep the people entertained while they wait. FoodSausage sandwich - My husband got it and he devoured it. He shared half with me and it was the best sausage sandwich I had. The sausage was spicy, perfectly cooked and the biscuit was flaky. Overall, a must have.Breakfast Burrito - I had hIgh expectations from this dish after reading reviews on yelp but was disappointed. The potatoes inside were not complimenting the burrito at all. I really liked the dip that came with it. Oatmeal - Got it for my 2 year old picky eater and as expected he didn't had it. But we liked it. It was topped it fruits and syrup. We actually took it for to-go.Grilled cheese Benedict - Very unique and very very delicious. This dish was beyond my imagination. If you are on a diet please don't even think of ordering it. This was hands down the best breakfast I have ever had. I've always heard great things and that the food is worth the wait times, but I was not expecting it to be that good. They earned a Michelin Plate award (meaning amazing food for prices under $25). We ordered the grilled cheese eggs Benedict, kitchen sink, and biscuits and gravy. The potatoes were so crispy and delicious, the challah bread was soft and buttery, and the Hollandaise sauce was to die for. Oh and the Bloody Mary was amazing as well. This seemingly quaint restaurant is packed full of delicious farm-to- fork menu options. It's my favorite breakfast place hands down. I told my friend, I was almost mad at the chef because, everything on the menu is so good it's hard to make a decision. I will give you a heads up, there is always a wait to get seated, some longer than others but, it's worth it. The menu here changes seasonally to accommodate the harvest. One of my favorites is called "The kitchen sink". The staff is fantastic and, I like the way they bring the check too. It comes in a book. This is my favorite brunch spot in Sacramento! I've been here twice now -- both times were at 10am on a Sunday, and the wait for a table was less than 30 minutes for us. It was only two of us so maybe that's why the wait wasn't bad. But even around noon when we were leaving, there were still a number of open tables.The Kitchen Sink is our favorite dish to order! It is soooo good. The breakfast potatoes are heaven; they give you plenty and they're huge! I think that's what makes the dish. It's such a filling entree for only $15. I can only finish half of it. The mimosas are great here too! It's always the perfect amount of champagne and orange juice. The $15 carafe gives you about six glasses of mimosas. I was buzzed by my third glass hahaI've always been pleased with the service here too. We've had two different waiters so far, and both were so friendly and personable. They always checked on us to make sure we were doing alright. Our food came out fast too. Parking has been fine when we went; we're always able to find a parking spot.I have zero complaints about Bacon and Butter. This is one of the best places in Sac for breakfast and brunch! I absolutely love there Chicken&Waffles! The food is fresh, tastes amazing and really fills you up. It's kinda pricey but worth it!! Great spot for meet friends, have a date or just treat yourself at the bar! The mimosas are FIRE(meaning fantastic) and they have a great variety of baked goods. I seriously recommend going multiple times and trying different items each time, their menu changes seasonally as well. There is sometimes a wait and the only waiting area is outside which can be cold at times. I come back for the seasonal french toast. It's always too big of a portion and I go into a coma and need a nap afterwards. On a whim I decided to stray and order something savory. Biscuit sandwich.
