The b side is a very nice, small, Intimate place. The bar is nicely lit, but the rest of the place is very dark. We had to use our phones' flashlights to read the menus. Our waitress, Sarah, was great...very bubbly and kind. The food was good. I was a little taken aback as a $2 glass of iced tea (brewed, not out of the bar gun) does not come with free refills. I am addicted to the wonderful steak salad, the sliders and the fried green beans -- these are regular menu items. The best is that there are always great specials. A-side entertainment, food and service! My siblings and I were on vacation 20-minutes from Oneonta and figured hit a local bar, maybe grab dinner. We ended up very happy we picked B-Side. They had a singer/songwriter night, where 4 talented guys took the stage and alternated leads. Wayne the owner stopped by to chat with us. Erica behind the bar was attentive and sassy, two cherished qualities in a bartender. The food was terrific, especially the caprese chicken sandwich and pot stickers. Reasonable prices. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Whether you are coming to dine or drink, you are in for a treat. When you step inside you don’t feel like you are in Oneonta and the good vibes radiate. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. I’ve never had to wait too long at the bar and have ended up with several free drinks and shots. I’ve had the pleasure of talking to the owner a couple of times, he’s a super nice and fun guy. Basically they just want everyone to have a good time. They have music quite often which is a nice touch. I would recommend making reservations for dinner. They book up pretty often. I can't say enough great things about the B-Side ballroom. We took it over for the night for a rehearsal dinner with 40 family members the night before a wedding. We only heard raves - no complaints (unusual for a group that size). Wayne, Rebecca and staff were amazing. The food was fantastic,(the lettuce/caesar appetizers really went over), the service impeccable. The owners were so nice and accommodating.
