Great location right in the heart of Heavenly Village. There's a stage outside where they often have live music. Nice ambience, plenty of outdoor seating. We had nachos, a fish taco, a margarita and their variation of a mojito - $70! The food and drinks were good, the salsa in particular had nice flavor. I took two stars off for the price and the service. It took a while for anyone to come by our table, and the very nice guy who finally did indicated that he was not supposed to be our server - he just took pity on us. We were on the patio, where a local gal who worked at a nearby restaurant was having lunch. She was clearly friends with a few of the Azul staff because they kept coming over to have long conversations with her. To me, this solved the mystery of why we waited so long to be served. All four people in my party disliked their meal selections. The fish taco was super greasy. The tostada (with carnitas) tasted overwhelmingly of oregano with very little flavor otherwise. My wife and I have eaten here a handful of times... the food is average, but the atmosphere is cool and theres usually free music venues. Wanted to dine here over summer but could not get a reservation. Off season (end of April) dinner, waited 20 minutes for a table for 4. Ended up eating outside. Ordered the Ensalada Del Mar (super refreshing, and the ceviche is really good too), the fajita (juicy carnitas, would recommend), nachos (huuuge plate! the beef eas a little dry but the guac and sour cream were one of a kind), and a tacos plate. Came here for dinner on a Friday night & luckily we were seated right away inside for 4. They don't provide free chips & salsa like most places do, so you'll have to order them. The tortilla chips were warm, thin & crispy! The salsa was a bit watered down but still had some decent flavor. I ordered their cheese enchiladas without sour cream on top with a side of their cilantro lime rice. The enchiladas were served in a cast iron skillet so it came out nice & piping hot. The "menu" is a QR code that prompts you to download an app, despite that, the app does not function with the QR code, leave you with no menu, rather than a no touch menu. This place has such a great vibe and the location is awesome. We sat outside and there was live music and a fire pit to keep us warm. My margarita was great! Everyone enjoyed their food. I really appreciated that their rice and beans were legit vegetarian (no lard or chicken broth) and they were able to customize things for us. The service was the best part. Family visiting from out of state who wanted to do the tourist thing so we went to heavenly village and couldn't pass by the amazing smells and fun outdoor seating with live music. Came here with a group of 4 and had a great time and fantastic service. We shared the ceviche and guacamole, which were both really fresh and tasty. The ceviche had some nice bits of pineapple in it. For entrees, my husband went for the shrimp enchiladas with the green sauce and they were cheesy and tasty.  They had the right amount of flavor! I got the burrito with beef, which was good but was better with a dash of hot sauce. It wasn't that impressive, but still good and a massive portion. Their chips were also good, and I got to try the Wild hibiscus drink which was the perfect amount of kick and sweetness. Got the shrimp burrito and my husband got the shrimp enchiladas. The shrimp in both dishes is cooked well and they give a good amount too! The green sauce of the enchilada is tasty. Both plates came with some tortilla chips that were thin, fresh, and crispy. They also have two hot sauces, mango habanero and also just habanero. The mango habanero isn't too spicy at all and the mango flavor is subtle, now overpowering. The habanero hot sauce does have a good kick so just be careful. I also accidentally ordered the veggie chili. I thought it comes with the burrito because I read the menu wrong lol. It was really good though! We love Azulejo Kitchen and if you come on a busy night it is worth the wait! Service was awesome! Two of us are vegan in our group and the server was very knowledgeable about what we could eat. Not a fan of the food. My boyfriend had a Wet (Red) Chicken Super Burrito and I had the Chicken (Red) Enchiladas. The chicken had no flavor and the red mole tasted very acidic. Have been here before but this was the first time with a large group. They do not take reservations and it is first come first serve basis. We left our names with the hostess and waited 30-45 minutes for our table inside. You get a text message when your table is ready and have exactly 7 minutes to get back to the hostess or they will give away your table.We say inside and although it was crowded it was enough room to fit a party of 4 comfortably. We got our waters right away and the waitress was very nice and accomadting. We ordered the salsa and chips as an appetizer and different margaritas around the table. The Jalapeño y Mas was delicious, but the Hibiscus was not as sweet as expected and the sweet/sour mix overpowered it a lot. For dinner we ordered the crispy tacos and super burrito. The fondido cheese on top of the super burrito was VERY bland and had no flavor at all. Visiting tahoe again and decided to try something new. The food was good for me, I got a super burrito and added steak, they are HUGE burritos. My boyfriend got a burrito as well but said the meat tasted a day old, didn't seem very fresh he said. We also ordered a appetizer of chips and salsa (3.40$ or something around there) and only got like ten chips and the side of my burrito with a tiny to-go container of salsa.
