Chris is the best! He's extremely knowledgeable and really ties in anatomy to the workouts. Not only does Chris keep me motivated when tackling exercises, he teaches me the right technique and focus areas for each so that I can keep doing these exercises independently. I first got in touch with Chris as a student in a weightlifting class he was teaching. I was impressed with the positive energy and clear instruction he brought to the course, so I decided to start training with him one-on-one.

Over the course of six months, Chris helped me dramatically improve my overall physical fitness and hone my technique on a number of lifts and auxiliary exercises. For those into data, I've nearly doubled my working set weights on the bench press, deadlift, and squat since we started working together.

Here is what I think makes Chris unique and how he was able to help me improve so dramatically:

He cared about me as a client and my success: not only did Chris help me achieve my goals, he used his insights and positive attitude to help me develop and refine my goals, pushing me further than I would have been able to go on my own

He has a great knowledge base in terms of technique and how the human body performs: Chris was able to identify my weaknesses and help me improve them through auxiliary exercises and mobility training that allowed me to make rapid improvements

He is passionate about what he does and continues to grow his knowledge base: Chris always seemed to have a grasp on recent studies and was willing to challenge his own assumptions in order to help his clients; he was able to articulate how the body performs under varying conditions and why the things we were doing would benefit me in different ways

This focus on the client's goals, and the collaborative approach he takes to this process, are what I think sets him apart. I've noticed that his client base is diverse in terms of age and ability level, and I think this also speaks to his breadth and depth of fitness knowledge.

Chris has been a genuinely life-changing personal trainer. When I first was seeking a personal trainer I did expect to have such a positive and well-rounded experience that has so quickly given me hope and immediate progress towards my independent health inside and outside the gym, both mental and physical. Chris has worked with me in only the most effective, kind, respectful, and professional way and I see myself getting closer to my goals after each week with him. He really listens and provides workouts and meal plans that work for you as an individual. He is incredibly clear, patient, knowledgeable, and motivating and takes any doubts or confusion that surround food and exercise and helps you to understand that there is a way to live comfortably and confidently around both. His approach to training is sustainable, personal to your needs, and has made me excited to be better. I see personal training as a partnership. As a personal trainer/coach I encourage lots of communication and feedback as I find it helps develop a very effective coach/client relationship built on honesty and respect. Personal Training is not something the trainer does TO a client, it's something the trainer does WITH a client!

Dedication, consistency, goal setting, and accountability! When you set a specific goal and establish a clear "why", stay consistent with your training and eating healthy - look at it as a lifestyle rather than a short-term fix, and seek accountability then overtime you will be successful!

I love training clients and build a personal relationship with them, seeing their success overtime and overcoming their limiting beliefs is rewarding and makes what I do worthwhile.

I enjoy helping people and seeing them make transformational changes both in and outside of the gym. By running my own business I have greater flexibility to help clients do that without being limited by another gym's agenda. Having left the corporate gym world where a lot of the focus is put on selling products such as supplements and other sales, it has helped me to focus on what really matters, my client's success.
