I can't say enough about the Aviddog crew, especially Amber for what she did with our dog Bruno. Bruno suffered from some major anxiety and was afraid of everything from loud noises , big objects and being around other dogs which he would act a little aggressive towards. We definitely were hesitant and wondered if training would help, while we definitely were wrong after watching most of bruno's progress through numerous videos posted by Amber and her daily training sessions which I found this to be so awesome and very comforting. So after day one of being home I can 100% say I don't know who's dog this is because the Bruno we sent 4 weeks ago for boarding lacked some major confidence but this guy is full of it and still acts like the biggest loving puppy who loves to play all the time. I could tell how far he has come on this mornings walk as he walked with so much more confidence and listen to every command which at times I noticed I didn't have to tell him what to do. After two trainers, I found Jenny!! The first trainer is a police officer and hurt my GSD beyond what I believed, repair. He CHOKED HER OFF AT 14 WEEKS, HURT HER PHYSICALLY, ABUSED HER TO THE POINT OF PHYSICAL HARM AND FEAR ! HE HAD A COMPANY AND WAS RECOMMENDED. The next trainer, with a NATIONAL FRANCHISE, left my Maxi to go party, and her sons speared her, causing 2.5 hours of surgery. Jenny with Avid Dog is absolutely amazing!! She took our dog, Kaya for 4.5 weeks for board and train and Kaya came back to our home a different dog! Before she attended board and train with Jenny she was uncontrollable! She’s a puppy but extremely hyper and did not listen!! Since she has returned she’s so much better! Jenny has taken her time out to come back to our home and do a follow up lesson with us because Kaya was still having some issues in our home! WOW! Jenny + the rest of the crew with AvidDog are AMAZING. I sent my 9 month old lab to a 3 week board and train program and i am absolutely thrilled with the results. Ryker had a tough time with impulse control and manners (leash, door, jumping, etc). He came back to me a completely transformed dog. He has the same personality as he did the day he left but he is WAY more well behaved and you can definitely see his new sense of control. We had a little bump in the road with the drop off procedure but they handled the situation well. Also! Jenny’s daily updates of my baby boy and his progress were a BIG plus for me because my dog is my life and I was so nervous sending him away at first but it was so nice to see pictures/videos of him every day! I am a college student so cost was a big concern for me but AvidDog was affordable, professional, and just overall amazing in all aspects. I would recommend this training route to anybody and everybody! My boss has already scheduled her dog to go through the same program and I have a few friends I plan on referring already! Jenny is a miracle worker!! Our two dogs came home from 3 week board and train and do not sleep in our bed anymore. They heel quite well and place instead of whining during our mealtime. Jenny is so patient, positive and kind. I know my dogs love her by their wagging tails when she comes to our house. I couldn't recommend AvidDog enough! Jenny saw my husband and I walking our anxious German Shepherd around the neighborhood a couple of months ago. We crossed paths at the perfect time. For the past 6 months, our dog has increasingly tested our strength and willpower every time we've gone on a walk. He was very anxious towards other dogs and very protective of us on leash. We adopted him about 6 months ago after living with 6 other people/families so we thought all hope was lost. He had some dog training before we got him, but no matter what we tried, we couldn't get him to listen to us on a walk when he was on a leash. it was like all his training went out the window when other dogs were around. We did the 3 week dog training with AvidDog Dog Training and I honestly wasn't expecting the dramatic results. It is like night and day from 3 weeks ago until now. Not only can we go out on walks without worrying about anything, but our dog is more attentive to us when there are distractions. Hannah and Jenny went above and beyond to establish such a good foundation. I've had numerous dogs (from Golden Retrievers to Yorkies to Huskies) over the years with numerous trainings, and I can wholeheartedly say the approach at AvidDog is one to beat. They are a gold mine for dogs learning a good foundation and for owners to learn how to train properly. We can't thank Jenny & Hannah enough, as we will take all the training our dog learned and the tools you guys gave us as we go through life together. Jenny trained both of my pups, who went to her with two different sets of issues we wanted to work on. Avery was wild and impossible to control- he had pulled me over chasing after birds before. Now he is calm and knows how to control his impulses! Everyone who has seen his before and after is amazed and cannot believe that it is the same dog. Remy went to Jenny with reactivity issues- namely towards kids. It used to be so bad that if I saw there were kids outside we would have to wait until they went in to avoid causing a scene. Now, he can control himself and knows how to calmly be around things that he doesn't like. They both can now go places with me and be around things that used to be impossible! Saying goodbye to both of my dogs for three weeks was tough, but Jenny is SUPER communicative throughout the process and keeps you updated. I also loved seeing videos of my dogs during their training on her Instagram. Jenny will listen to all of your concerns about your dog and work with you in molding your dog into the best version of themselves- and it's not just good for you as the owner. Both my boys seem so much more confident and happy now that they don't stress as much about what is going on around them! I own three littermate German shepherd dogs. I am a working new mother and I dont have time to spend training 3 new pups. So, I decided to send them to Aviddog . what a transformation! They now have learned skills, they respond to commands and know basic obedience. They are no longer wild and out of control! I am grateful to Jenny and her team for working and training these pups. I did the board and train with my 14 week old GSD with Jenny at Avid Dog. I had begun working on basic commands like sit, stay and down, before she was gone for a week. When my GSD came back she knew multiple other commands and stuck to them with little correction from me. Whats even better is with the Board and Train Package I did, Jenny gives you the tools to continue to train and bond with your dog to ensure the lessons stick. Finally as we have progressed through the lessons, she's been able to tailor it to me and my dogs ability to ensure we stay on track and can focus on new things. Jenny is amazing, Tundra was just a pup when he started his training with Jenny. He learned so much so fast and he knows when it’s time to play and when it’s time to listen. Jenny’s additional training with me, taught me the proper ways to give directions so that Tundra wasn’t confused(my mixed signals). I feel like I handed off a wild puppy and got back a well behaved dog! It’s only night one of having Katana back in our home after a 1 week board and train. But I’m seriously so impressed! I won’t go into detail- but my house of two dogs and a toddler was pure chaos before Jenny worked her magic! I highly recommend Jenny not only because of her superior training, but also, because she constantly sent pictures and videos of our pup working& playing, as well as her instagram story was flooded with videos of Katana, and it made me feel very comfortable knowing my dog was being very well loved and cared for during her training! Also, the care and concern Jenny has for her clients is unheard of. My whole family came down with a nasty stomach bug the day before Katana was supposed to come home, and Jenny went out of her way to offer to keep Katana for one more day while we recovered from sickness so both us, and Katana would be set up for success with her coming back into our home with new rules and behavior guidelines. Jenny is a true life changer! My Gunnar (GSD) has really bad anxiety, which led to bad reaction. We would take him outside at very odd hours to avoid any type of reaction. We took ridiculous routes at our apartment complex, just so there’s no reaction. He seemed very terrifying, but that’s because of his anxiety. After shopping around for trainers and being evaluated, I went with Jenny because she took the challenge of walking Gunnar outside of his kennel. The other trainers said my dog was very aggressive, and their worst case they would take on. Jenny simply didn’t mind, and she wanted to evaluate him outside his kennel. She did something many that have evaluated my dog failed to do. Gunnar now, is the best behaved dog ever. I still get compliments to this day how well behaved he is! Everyone had to ask me if it was still the same dog, LOL. I am very proud of Gunnar, and very happy we took him to Jenny. I can confidently take him around other people and dogs, and he will listen to my every command. We all are so much happier and more confident because of Jenny! We have a Golden Retriever and she is the sweetest thing ever, she just wouldn’t listen. After 3 + years of letting her have her way, we realized something had to be done or she was going to end up hurting someone. She is not a mean girl, she is very enthusiastic and loved to jump on people when they first arrive at our house, she loves to bark at them. We also live very close to a main hwy and I am always fearful my dog will bolt out the door and run towards the road, zero recall, especially with me.... In comes Jenny! I was terrified handing my baby over to a stranger, but she met with us and put my mind at ease. 3 weeks she would have my pup. Within a few days I was getting photos and videos of my monster in a clothing store, TIED to Jenny’s babies stroller BEHAVING! Jenny would have her sit, and walk a good distance away and then return, my dog just sat there waiting for her. This in itself told me we had picked the right person to train our girl. I am the definition of a “helicopter dog mom” and we felt comfortable leaving our baby in Jenny’s hands for a 2 week board and train. Even after training Jenny has always been professional and gotten back to me quickly with any questions that may come up.
