Coach DJ is phenomenal. I began athletic rehab with him about 4 months ago in order to correct severe muscle imbalances in my shoulders and hips that were extremely debilitating. I had already been to a muscle activation specialist, a PT, and a functional movement specialist, and chiropractor and had not noticed any improvements. He assured me that these issues are correctable but will take a long time to fix. I trusted him, and sure enough, my body is slowly healing and the muscle balances are being corrected. I have noticed significant progress and am no longer experiencing chronic nerve pain thanks to DJ and his training. He is very knowledgable, friendly, supportive, and communicates well. More...

Have been training at Simply Fit with DJ over 4 months and the results I've achieved so far are great! I have worked with several trainers at ASF over the years, both as an independent client and then as a member of a powerlifting crew. I have never felt truly at home at a gym like I have at ASF. Brendan in particular is hands down one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. He’s friendly, positive, motivating, and smart as all get out. He trains you with creativity AND consideration of where you and any of your injuries may be. He has helped bring me back from a major car accident to a competitive level safely. This gym and these folks changed my life and relationship with fitness. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I’m no fitness bunny, but I love working out here, and everyone is welcome. Austin Simply Fit has been the best decision I've done for my health and fitness hands down! DJ is an amazing trainer and I've been blown away by his expertise with the progress I've made in the short 3 months! I'm always challenged to do my best. Having mild cerebral palsy I had concerns starting working out. But with the 1x1 training and the specific targeting of areas I needed to work on, it's been a perfect fit! I've had issues with the curvature of my spine my whole life and now with DJ's direction my posture has vastly improved and straightened out. In addition to the work targeting my posture, we also work on strength training which has equally been amazing as well. We're even working to prepare for a dead-lifting competition later on this year! Two separate sets of goals, with fantastic results!It's exactly what I wanted from a personal trainer and would recommend doing it to anyone looking to improve their fitness and life! More...

I am recovering from back surgery & working with Brendan at ASF as part of my recovery process. Brendan is attentive & creative. He is always learning new processes & sends me pics/videoes of stretches. He asks how I am each time I come in & makes changes to the workout as we go along. He gives me a high five each time I leave & tells me to let him know how I feel after workouts.Recovery is challenging as you can't really 'push' yourself...which I was used to doing. Brendan keeps me motivated & focused during the recovery process. Reminding me that it's a marathon, not a race. Honestly, he is just a great guy! More...

I started going to Austin Simply Fit & working with Brendan Morr in 2017 and needless to say and the improvement in my lifestyle, body & mind is apparent! Brendan did a great job of starting me with my fundamentals and working me up with a "teach a woman to how to fish" technique. Which I honestly appreciate because now I can use everything I learned when I need to work out on my own! He always checks in with my needs before starting our work out. I have an autoimmune disease so I really appreciate that he cares. He will never push his agenda on you and will work with you as long as you're willing to meet the dude half way ;)Although my weight hasn't fluctuated much there has been a HUGE difference in my body composition (since muscle composition is so much more lean than fat!) I went from a size 28 to a size 25 and have never been so brimming with confidence. Overall I feel more agile and healthy and don't die walking up the stairs at work so that's definitely a plus.The benefits of 1x1 personal training is worth it with Austin Simply Fit. Honestly as someone who has gone through numerous amounts of gym memberships, fitness classes and more NONE of them have taught me about how to work with my body specifically. Crazy fast cardio bootcamp classes normally glaze over the fundamentals and checking to see if you're using correct form. I always found myself hurting after classes with places like Camp G & crossfit style classes because they truly aren't catered for beginners. More...

I've been going to ASF on Burnet for 4 years and, even though I've moved from central Austin to far south, I refuse to change gyms or trainers. Brendan Moor is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! He listens carefully and adjusts workouts as needed to accomplish whatever goal you have in mind. I started out working out on my own and then my husband joined me on Saturday mornings. We always have a great time and we've definitely seen results. Highly recommend Austin Simply Fit! More...

ASF is a great community of fitness enthusiasts, but the best thing about it is my trainer, Amanda Bode! She is very caring and professional. Amanda's knowledge of fitness and body mechanics is extensive and she is very attentive. I never have to worry about injuring myself because she corrects every misalignment that she sees. I have been training with Amanda for about 6 months and have seen huge changes in my strength and general fitness. She is supportive and encouraging and always greets me with a smile. I have been to a lot of workout classes and group training programs over the years, but I am enjoying my workouts with Amanda Bode at Austin Simply Fit South more than any of them. In the past three months, Amanda has helped strengthen my hips, glutes, and core, which has given me more body control and made me a better runner and horseback rider. I have historically been injury prone along my entire right side (shoulder, calf, ankle, and two spots in the foot). Amanda is extremely good about modifying if we encounter any pain or tightness, and she finds exercises that will strengthen the supporting muscle groups. I have less pain and feel more stable and balanced since I started working out with her. Amanda is mindful, encouraging, and supportive. She genuinely cares about my health and my progress, and I can't imagine working out with a different trainer. More...

I just started weight training earlier this year and I have loved working out with Eric. I've had a lot to learn and I am so grateful for his patience and persistence with me. I feel so much better since I started lifting and have more energy & strength for my day to day activities, too. And today was just the best because I went from never having done a deadlift to doing 205 lbs. with chains today! I’ve been training at ASF for just 1 month and I’ve already seen/felt major results thanks to my trainer Beckie Lough! She is very attentive, knowledgeable and fun to train with. Since training with her I’ve PRd my back squat and bench press in less than a month and I’m excited to compete in my first powerlifting meet in Feb with her coaching me along. ASF is my home away from home. I have been working with David Polisky 3 times per week for a year and a half. David is a fantastic trainer. He is extremely focused on correct form. Every time I work out I learn new ways to improve. It is amazing how much the tiniest modification to a lift or squat can affect how the move feels. I also appreciate David for his support. He is always providing feedback and support that keeps me motivated to finish strong. Overall the gym is awesome. The coaches are all wonderful! I always look forward to my workouts. More...

I love Austin Simply Fit. Not only the facility is great, they have everything you need for your body, but their trainers are also very knowledgeable. I have been training with Amanda Bode for half a year!!! She is very professional, focused and targets toward my goals. She motivates and pushes me to my full potential. Sometimes I complain, but she knows that what I am capable of, so she keeps me on the right track. Some of us were not born with killer bodies, we just need to work harder than others to get where we want to be. Amanda definitely helps me get that place and reach my goal. I love the variety of her workout that targets different groups of muscle. You can tell how clear-minded and focused she is. I really enjoy working with her and at ASF. It's so worth it. I am so happy with my sessions at Austin Simply Fit. Prior to working out here, I never did much in the way of strength training, but I've really made significant improvements since starting here. I've been working with Beckie Lough for two years now and she's helped me past years of neglected posture and poor form. I used to consider strength training something that I needed to do to stave off injuries from running, but have now come to appreciate it on its own merits. My experience at Austin Simply Fit has only been positive. I train with Chelsea Futterman, and she’s amazing—she’s a great motivator and coach and 100% everything I wanted my personal trainer to be. When I first started, my only goal was to be stronger, and when I met and exceeded that goal, she helped me make new goals to meet and exceed. Don’t be fooled by the 30 minute sessions, they are anything but easy! Trust me, Chelsea will make sure you leave exhausted, empowered, and dripping with sweat.
The gym is filled with all kinds of different people at different levels—I never feel out of place or judged for being a beginner. I look forward to training here every week!

I have been training with John Delapaz at Austin Simply Fit South for two years, and I am very pleased. I started at Austin Simply Fit because I wanted to learn powerlifting, and I have learned so much about the three lifts (squat, deadlift, and bench press) from John. But that's not all he knows. We also embarked on a program of hypertrophy, and John designed a great program. Whether you want to increase your general fitness, build muscle, lose fat, or see your powerlifting numbers go up, John can help. You WILL get better and see results. But it's not just John. All of the trainers at Austin Simply Fit are great: David, Amanda, Becky, Chelsea, KT, Eric, Sean, Filly, Krista, Dana, Sierra, Theo, Brendan, Lucas, Darryl, Jen, and Mark.

Simply the best in Austin. I train with Krista Bergeron and have gotten great results-I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. Even though I work hard- really, really hard, due to Krista’s motivational energy and the gym's positive, inviting and supportive atmosphere, I have a great time and leave with a smile on my face.

I am also the a parent of a young athlete who has been working with Sierra Nevels on strength and athletic conditioning. Not only does she have a blast with Sierra, she’s learning the fundamentals of safe, strong and effective movement and injury prevention, and is improving her athletic performance and confidence as well. Could not recommend this place enough. Great people and they work well around injury and towards personal goals.

I train with Brendan Morr. He's got great energy and really helps balance me out. I'm a bit low energy, so having someone hyped up and excited to train me is great. He has a great variety of tools to work with. Able to train body building, casual, athletes, power lifters, and rehabilitation.

He's done time under tension (super slow), circuit training and targeted training for individual sports. For a while my only goal was skating better (skateboard) and we'd do primarily jumps and leg exercises. I started primarily focusing on weight loss and overall strength training a year back. I lost 30+ pounds while adding significant muscle.

I've seen Brendan's clients get sculpted and toned or stay fit and healthy depending on their goals. This is a great gym where everyone cares.

Brendan Morr is my trainer at Austin Simply Fit, and he 'fits' me very well. I came to him in my late 50's with the request that he help me get a functional and resilient body to take into old age. I had read that quality of life in people over 60 often declines drastically after a sprain, or twist or fall or some other seemingly minor physical disturbance. The readings also suggested that training muscles with meaningful resistance was critical to maintaining a quality life while aging. I also came with a shoulder that isn't quite right, it grinds, clicks and sometimes pops. Each session with Brendan has been directed to my explicit goals, never once has a session felt like a copy-paste from someone else's session, or from my last session. Each session Brendan watches my form, at the beginning of a new move and near the end of my reps, to catch and correct bad form or to adjust the resistance to achieve my goals. Each session Brendan asks about my shoulder and tailors the session to the limitations of my shoulder that day, not previous limitations. I've never had a session that left me injured, even slightly. I've had plenty of sessions that left me with the "I've worked out well" feeling. It has been several years now, and the lower back issues that had me walking all stooped over like an old man for days every month in my 40's and early 50's are no longer a problem, and sneezes, slips, trips and stumbles haven't given me any troubles.Time and money well spent. Austin Simply Fit is a great place for people who have busy schedules and prefer a customized and personal gym experience.
I have trained with several coaches at ASF and they each have been great!
Recently I have been training with Theo L. I highly recommend working with Theo! He is willing to customize my workout differently as my goals evolve and always encourages and pushes me to improve. Each session is unique, so I have never felt bored with his workouts.

Austin Simply Fit is a tremendous gym. Krista is an amazing trainer and she gets results. In 2017 I had over 180 workouts at ASF. You don't do that many workouts unless you love the gym you are at. All of the workouts are different and challenging. I strongly recommend ASF and Krista. The atmosphere in the gym is fun and encouraging. If you want to work hard and get in great shape go to ASF. Krista is very detailed and conforms the workout to your own ability and level. Many times I deem her workouts as salty. That is a compliment. More...

I've been working with Krista at ASF in private and semi-private sessions for the past 6 months. I am in my late thirties and have always been active in the outdoors, but have never done consistent strength-training. As I move toward the big 4-0, I wanted to regain some strength that I've lost since my twenties and prevent further injuries. I can't say enough for this investment. Krista has been a great coach who is both attentive and dynamic in her workouts. She often changes things up if she sees that I'm struggling in an area. She pushes me to work harder, yet remains positive and encouraging. The gym is a friendly, laid-back, unassuming environment. All of the coaches are welcoming - not once have I walked in and felt intimidated. The results have been incredibly rewarding. I feel stronger and better about my body than I have in years. I have intermittent/chronic back pain that has disappeared with the focus on core strengthening. I would highly recommend ASF to anyone - do this for yourself, its a worthwhile investment. More...

I had a baby in December 2013 and hadn't worked out the entire time I was pregnant. After my baby was almost 1 year old I knew it was time to do something. But I needed someone that could work with me and help me gradually work up to getting back in shape. I really needed a workout designed for me with challenges but something I could do. I did an online search and feel so lucky to have found Becky at the South Location. Becky has literally changed my life and helped me build up from working out 1-2 times a week to 4-5 times a week and feeling great and I have more energy to take care of my baby and be more active in life. I really like their program at Austin Simply Fit, it is a challenging 30 minute weights and more workout that I feel good recommending to anyone that wanted to get in better shape and health, build muscle, etc. More...
