The vows were the reason people came to our wedding, and Atlanta Wedding Band is why they stayed! Our reception was absolutely amazing thanks to their entertainment. Each song was wonderfully done, and everyone was up and dancing the night away. It was great to have so many songs we loved played live at our wedding. Where do I start! From the moment I reached out John was so helpful and really cared to hear our story and get to know us! They went above and beyond what I could have expected! I wasn’t sure which singer since they are all great but John set us up with Nick. From the sounds of it Nick has a very busy schedule but John had asked him if he could learn our wedding song and within a couple days they sent us the most beautiful studio version of making memories of us by Keith urban. Atlanta Wedding Band made our wedding night! Our favorite vendor out of all the other choices by far (and we loved all of our vendors dearly). AWB worked with my husband to setup some surprise songs for me and it created some really special memories. Brandon K. was our frontman and he was fantastic, personable and brought fantastic jams of all varieties all night long.

We should have extended the night a few more hours it was such an amazing time. AWB is worth every penny, the guys are all super friendly and fun to interact with throughout the entire wedding process. They're 1000000000x better than any DJ could ever be, hire them they're worth it! More...

Wow! Where do I begin with this band? If I could give them 10 stars I would because they deserve every single one of them. From the beginning of the process to the end, Atlanta Wedding Band made our lives a lot less stressful. The attention to detail and time that these guys put into your big night is unparalleled. John and his crew aren't just a band, they are working right there with the wedding coordinator throughout the entire event to make sure your night is absolutely perfect. I knew a bandmate but wasn't still so surprised with how amazing they were! Not only do they have the longest song list, but they will also learn any song you want them to. I was a little apprehensive about picking songs from so many genres, but they did a great job and making sure each song was totally recognizable, but also had a style of their own. Holy smokes -- these guys are amazing!! Hiring a great band was my top priority for our wedding. I met John when he played a solo set at our annual Christmas party. He was so easy to work with and extremely talented, so I knew I wanted him at our wedding with a few of his super talented band mates. He has such attention to detail with the entire process, making sure that he understands your timeline and how you want the night to flow. I didn't worry about anything because I knew he had it under control -- which coming from me, says a lot.. trust me!
Fast forward to our wedding day. We had two of the guys perform an acoustic set at our cocktail hour, which our guests raved about. Then, we had a four piece band perform a 3 hour set that just straight up ROCKED. We kept having to ask our caterers to clear tables away to make more room on the dance floor! I have never seen another wedding band have that kind of effect on a party. They even learned our first dance song and surprised us with it at our reception - how awesome is that?! They went above and beyond and brought the party.
Make sure you supply "dancing shoes" for your guests if you hire these guys -- ours were GONE after about two songs! More...

John Thrasher and the Atlanta Wedding Band ROCKED our wedding! Planning a destination wedding can be intimidating. My now husband and I knew we wanted an awesome band to keep everyone dancing all night, but didn't have the luxury of meeting potential bands face to face. After one phone call (and many YouTube views later) we knew this was the band for us - and we were 100% right. From the get go, John was friendly and put us at ease. He and his team learned songs that were important to us at no additional cost. We encountered a small scheduling hiccup with the availability of their female vocalist and John went above and beyond to make sure we ended up having a comparable performer. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and really get a feel for our guests and the atmosphere we wanted for the reception. We cannot begin to describe how amazing our experience was with Atlanta Wedding Band. We asked the group to perform in 3 different settings at our reception, all of which were executed perfectly. They learned songs that were meaningful to us and performed them beautifully.

Communication before the wedding was clear and easy. They were on time for the day of the reception. They were engaged with our group and modified the set list based on what people were enjoying. Members of our families were dancing who have never before danced in public.

We agonized about choosing a band, and I can honestly say that they were one of the highlights of our wedding reception. Thank you to John and Nathan and all the guys for being a part of our day.

We used the Atlanta Wedding Band for our wedding this past June in Charlotte, NC. We can not say enough wonderful things about this band. From start to finish John was incredibly easy and flexible to deal with. Their song list was extensive- but not overwhelming like some bands and were more than willing to learn any songs that may not be listed. John provided consultations prior to the date to make sure that everyone was on the same page as well as reached out to our wedding vendor. The day of the wedding the band was incredibly professional. We had a member of the band play violin for the ceremony and we still have people commenting to us how incredibly talented the guy was. During the reception we had a full dance floor from the very minute they starting playing until the very end of the night- we even asked the band to stay later when we saw how much fun everyone was having! The band did a wonderful job at playing to the crowd to keep the party going- including a dance circle with guests taking turns "breaking it down" on the dance floor! . I would recommend this band to anyone looking to book for their wedding- or any event for that matter , we could not have asked for a more professional, fun, and upbeat band that made our wedding day so very special! I could not be more pleased with my selection of Atlanta Wedding Band to play at my wedding reception on 5/30/15! The communication and responsiveness of John Thrasher was great. Atlanta Wedding Band made our wedding day better than I had ever imagined! An acoustic guitar and violin played during the ceremony, and there wasn't a dull moment during the reception! Even when the band took a quick break they played music to keep everyone on their feet and having a good time. They will learn up to 10 songs for free, which they did and performed them perfectly. I emailed John asking if we could slow down our first dance song, and he quickly got back to me with a recording of Stefan singing it in the requested version. Absolutely AMAZING! John Thrasher and the Atlanta Wedding Band went above and beyond for our wedding. They really have a knack for performing and reading your guests wants. I cannot say enough good things about Atlanta Wedding band! I loved their extensive song list and watching the youtube videos of past events. I wanted a band that could handle country, motown, and any other requests that my wedding guests might throw at them. They KILLED IT and the dance floor was packed! My sister got married almost 2 years ago and during my reception my Dad said to me, "her band was good, but this band is GREAT!". I could not be happier with how the night went! I couldn't have asked for a better experience than I had with Atlanta Wedding Band. Working with John was like working with a friend from college - he knew every question I would have before I was even able to ask it. They were extremely flexible, performing on a balcony at my reception venue, learning new songs for our first dance and dances with our parents and even communicating directly with my then fiance to keep our first dance song a secret.
