Went for the first time earlier today to celebrate my 31st birthday with penny mimosas! Our server, AJ, was beyond amazing made me feel like a totally spoiled birthday girl ❤❤❤ Food and service were spectacular! One of the worst experiences I've ever had, not only at a restaurant, but ever as a customer! If you want good customer service and a clean and safety environment to eat during the pandemic, don't even bother coming here! !! Firstly, as we were seated, we noticed that even though we were outside, the tables were very close together and not spaced 6 ft apart. This made us uncomfortable due to COVID, but we decided to have a seat outside anyway because we were extremely hungry. We then requested a high chair for our baby and asked if it had been wiped down since we are extra careful for our baby's safety during the pandemic. The staff could not tell me whether it had been wiped down or not so we decided to use our own wipes as a precaution. Again, this made us very uncomfortable. Then, we wanted to go inside to use the restroom, but noticed that the chef/owner that was standing at the doorway, did not have a mask on. We asked him if he could put a mask on so we could pass by him. He quickly responded saying, "oh no, that's ok." We responded saying, "no, actually, that's not ok." But we let it go and just sat back down outside. The owner then proceeded to come to our table without his mask on, and raised his voice at us to tell us, very loudly and defensively, "I cook all day and I'm outside and I don't need to wear a mask if I'm outside!!!" At that point, we decided to just get up and leave since clearly this place doesn't follow state law or any safety/social distancing practices. We told him, "ok that's fine, we're leaving!" But this man continued to argue with us and made a scene!!! We asked him to stop yelling and that we were leaving, but he continued to badger us!!!! Honestly, this is the worst I've ever been treated as a customer. We are living through a pandemic and for the safety of our family and those around us, I am shocked and appalled at the way this man reacted after simply asking him to put on a mask which is required by law in the state of Texas. This place clearly does not follow the law and does not know what customer service means. Absolutely horrific!!!! For the love of all humanity, just stay away from this place! More...

Owner/Chef Casey is a great cook and very personable. Employees are friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a Pappas type "run them through" establishment, look elsewhere. If you want something more relaxed and able to soak in the flavors, don't miss it! We enjoyed a fantastic brunch at Astor Farm to Table. If you haven’t been there yet, you owe it to yourself to go. An eclectic mixture of local flavors, Argentinian, Venezuelan and South African cuisines. Great, personable service and well-executed cocktails round out the experience. We got the Durban Bunny Chow as an appetizer, which is a robust curry atop crostini-it’s a spicy delight. I had the croissant eggs Benedict and my wife had the Venezuelan Breakfast Criollo.
