100 stars! We love Ashley and Jay!My husband (ah it's still weird to say that!) is a photographer so his one major wedding duty was to find a kick butt photographer that was in our budget. I'm so glad he found Ashley! She is a sweetheart and so wonderful to work with.Ashley was super accommodating, even with a last minute change where we moved up the ceremony 30 minutes because we didn't want to do a first look and that way we could have time for couple and family photos afterwards.After the ceremony she gave my husband and I a few minutes alone to just absorb everything which was so cool and much needed. To take a breath and take it all in before the ceremony.Thankfully Ashley was just within out budget! I know that wedding photos are expensive, but they are worth it. A lot of work goes into creating great photos. With that said, I have three wedding photo tips (no matter which photographer you choose): 1.) Really take time to think through which photos you want and tap someone else (planner, mom, aunt, maid of honor, etc.) to make sure that you get them. This is a once-in-a-lifetime day and you won't be able to go back in time to get a photo that you missed. I wanted a photo with each of my extended families and we didn't get those because I wasn't persistent about it and was just enjoying the day. (Which is how it should be!) (And maybe was over photos and ready to party haha.) But I wish that I had my wedding planner or mom gather everyone for those photos because I would love to have a photo with my aunts and uncles.2.) We didn't do a first look and talked extensively about that with Ashley. She gave us the best advice on what that would mean time-wise. (Which is why we moved up our ceremony time.) I'm glad we didn't do the first look and I love our version of it where my husband surprised me outside the room playing guitar on the patio. But if seeing your bride or groom before the alter is ok with you - definitely do the first look. You'll have a lot more time for photos. (Just like Ashley recommended. :) )3.) Get a video! The day really does go by in a flash. We were so lucky to have a talented friend able to get some video footage for us last minute. After I saw it I thought, why did I think I didn't need a video?!All in all, photography and videography are possibly the two most important pieces of your day (After the love of your life and the dress of course ;) ) so take your time to find the person who fits your personality and style - and don't skimp.Ashley and Jay are super amazing! We had a wonderful experience working with them. :)Oh and, like a previous reviewer said, Ashley and Jay went above and beyond and did share photos one their computer at the end of the ceremony which guests loved being able to see. I don't even have the words to describe just the few pictures I saw already of my daughter's wedding. First, Ashley spent a lot of time with the Bride and the MOB (me) on what we wanted. Then she worked directly with the Bride and Groom and when they wanted another planning session with her she graciously gave them all the time they needed to feel totally comfortable with her and her husband's style of photography. She was prompt, gracious and went the extra mile to get the photos that are absolutely stunning. She also talked the Groom into a "First Look", which turned out perfectly. Both she and her husband were discreet while taking pictures of the ceremony. In the "Over and Above" category, as they ate their vendor dinner in the lobby they threw some of the pictures taken onto a slide show on their computer and put the computer on a table by the cake so that anyone who wanted to could come over and see some of the pics. Totally blessed doesn't even describe how I feel about Ashley Bee Photography. Would recommend her in an instant, no reservations. More...

5 Stars for Ashley and her husband! My sister in law got married in beautiful Temecula this past Saturday and hired Ashley to be her photographer. My sister in law told me that she really liked the photos on Ashley's website and knew she would get some great shots of her wedding.Well on the morning of my sister in law's wedding, Ashley came on time to my sister in law's hotel room (where I was getting my hair and make up ready, along with the other bridesmaid and my sister in law). The room was a little bit crowded with 2 make up artists and the mother of the groom and flower girl, but Ashley made it work and started snapping away to capture each moment. Her husband, Jason, met the groom and his groomsmen down in another part of the hotel area. Then eventually when all the women got done with their make up and hair, Ashley followed us to the church. Ashley and Jason were pretty much with us every step of the way (when we made our way to the bridal suite, for the 1st look photos between the bride and groom, the church for the ceremony, the reception and bridal & groom party photos). Ashley and Jason were very friendly and always smiling every time I saw them. A few things I want to mention that I truly appreciate about them is that they took my request to try to stay out of the sun as much as possible to heart. I am incredibly pale (I am quite pigment challenged let's just say) and burn very easy (and yes even with SPF on). I told both of them that I will have to stay in the shade until it is time to take photos if they are out in the sun. They were really good in taking most of the photos in the shade (and when there were photos in the light, I was put in an area with less sun). The other thing that really impressed me about this husband and wife team is that they were working so diligently during part of the reception while guests were eating (so they were not missing any action that needed to be photographed) editing some of the photos they took for the day. Then later towards the end of the wedding, Ashley had her laptop displayed showing a loop of photos that were taken from the day. The photo of the bridal/ groom party in the shade came out great (and me without having to burn in the sun). I loved looking at all the photos and was surprised that a photographer would do this (as I have never seen a wedding photographer ever doing that). That alone deserves an extra star for their efforts.I also want to mention that they both got along just fine with the other vendors at my sister in law's wedding. They also were really helpful in carrying things for the bride and bridal party (they just volunteered to help hold bouquets, wedding veil and dress, etc).If I was ever to get married in Temecula (I already am married and never plan to do that again  because planning my wedding was just so stressful), I would not hesitate to hire Ashley and her husband to capture my special day. I just wrote a verbose review on the Knot but what it boils down to is this: Ashley and Jay are two people who we actually wanted by our side on our wedding day. They are so calming and just have such great personalities. I can't wait to see the photos because I know they will be the perfect representation of the day and of my relationship with my new husband. I originally booked a different photographer for my wedding on August 9th but he had to cancel due to a heartbreaking medical diagnosis a few months prior to our wedding date. He referred me to Ashley and I fell in love with her work at first glance. Warm, rich color, with vintage-y, beautiful lighting. Gorgeous. But it was her welcoming demeanor and true interest in MY wedding calmed my jittery wedding nerves immediately. I was sold!Our first face-to-face interaction with Ashley was at our engagement photo session (which we rescheduled at least 5 times because of my crazy schedule). She was so accommodating and made my shy husband feel comfortable during the shoot (I am anything BUT shy!)Our wedding day was perfect but like everyone says-- flew by so fast. I am so grateful that we have such beautiful photos to help us remember our special day. A few weeks prior to the wedding, Ashley had us fill out a pre-wedding questionnaire that allowed us to be specific as to which photos were "must-haves" and which photos they could skip out on. We chose a more candid approach, and I'm glad we did! It was so fun going through all of the photos!Ashley and her husband must have snapped thousands of photos during our wedding because they literally got every shot that we wanted-- and from multiple angles, too! The shots that were important to me were all of the detail shots (the dress, the flowers, the shoes!)Since Ashley and Jay are a husband and wife team, I found myself going to them for advice during the wedding. "Is it okay for us to eat now, or should we walk around and say our thank you's?!" Their advice and (I think I already mentioned it but it's worth mentioning again--) calm demeanor really made us feel comfortable and allowed us to enjoy our wedding day that much more.About a month after the wedding, Ashley posted our photos on an online photo album for viewing. The website was very user-friendly and fun to share with our family and friends. It allows you to download individual photos or the entire album, share on social networking pages, and order prints!Ashley and Jay-- if you are reading this-- thank you again for all of your hard work, time, patience, and love that you put into your photography. I found Ashley because she also photographed a friend's wedding and I was so amazed with her photos that I had to hire her. We instantly clicked at our first meeting in their studio in Temecula. Ashely was always quick at responding to my questions and made sure to keep in touch up until the wedding...even if it was just to "check in." On our BIG day, I couldn't believe how organized she kept us to get all the photos that we wanted in...and to top it all off, VERY pregnant too! She maintained so professional, and I kept wondering, "How can she stand on her feet this whole day?!" But she managed, with no complaints...always smiling and making sure to tell me what a beautiful bride I was! Just what a bride wants to hear! My husband and I went on our honeymoon, and had a great surprise when we got back: our photos were ready! We loved re-living our special day, and with Ashley's fantastic, easy-to-use interface she uses to share photos, we were able to share our photos with family and friends as well. In fact, all communication, from the contract to questionnaires, was all done online, which was very convenient since we live in the LA area. Don't worry if you're wedding is not in the San Diego/Temecula area. Our wedding was in Westlake Village, near Ventura County.The only thing would be that she can be quite pricey if you're on a budget, but the photos that you get are really of value, especially with other comparable photographers. Photography is definitely one of the main costs of a wedding, and I've learned that you get what you pay for. So, go ahead and splurge! Hire Ashley and you won't regret it! More...

I loved having Ashley and her husband Jay as our wedding photographer. Other than the beautiful natural lighting they use, what I also loved is that Ashley was able to be with us girls while getting ready and Jay was able to be with the boys taking Pictures. They also did our engagement photos which I was very happy/excited how they turned out. I love how she tells a story on her Blog about all the pictures/sessions she does. What can I say? Every single aspect of my experience with Ashley was amazing. We started off with a phone call to get to know her a bit and loved her bubbly personality. We had already checked out her website and blog and were totally impressed with the quality and style of her photographs, so we signed on.

Ashley and Jay flew out to Seattle for engagement photos and we had such a good time. They put you at ease and are real professionals. They give direction so you're not flailing, but also allow you to move naturally together. We are so happy with the final result.

For the big day, they caught all the right moments with all our friends and family. They also have an eye for these crazy beautiful, dramatic shots where you can't believe that is you!! A really nice touch is that they set up a slide show with some of the photos from earlier in the day so that people could check it out in between dancing.

I also want to mention that Ashley uses technology in all the ways that make sense. Her client interactions (contract, questionnaire, payments) are are online and in one place. She posts your photos on her blog and links them through Facebook, so your friends and family can check them out easily. And best of all, you have access to all your high res digital images in an app where you can download them.

I don't even know where to begin. Ashley & Jay (an incredible husband/wife team) are down-to-earth, professional, & amazing talented. My husband & I live in VA & planned a destination wedding in Temecula, CA. After shopping around online & I was immediately blown away by their work. As an artist myself, photography was my number one priority :) I believe my first phone conversation with Ashley lasted nearly an hour! She was so easy to talk to & answered all my questions! On a visit to CA we had our engagement photos taken (which I highly recommend). Not only do you have the chance to work with them before the Big Day, but you get a great collection of photos! We incorporated some into our wedding decor. While we got ready, Ashley was with the ladies & Jay spent time photographing the guys. The entire day went beyond smoothly & even when we were a bit behind schedule, Ashley was calm & kind when "nudging" us along. We LOVED their surprise day-of preview: at the end of the night they had a computer setup with preview photos! They even had little cards printed with our engagement photos & the website of where guests could view the photos online! How clever! I was honestly speechless when I saw our photos! Not only were Ashley/Jay able to capture the love my husband and I share for each other, but they capture the entire feeling of the day. I worked really hard on DIY projects and created almost everything myself and was SO pleased to discover that they had taken pictures of nearly ever little detail! Ashley Bee Photography is honestly the best! The couple that takes the photos are kind, personable, easily-relatable, and flat out fun! They make you feel very comfortable and relaxed, and always find a way to make you feel special.
