Artistic Cakes

Let me start by saying that if we could give Martha from Artistic Cakes more than 5 stars we certainly would!! We had rescheduled our Wedding 3 times due to the pandemic. We finally decided to wait until the following year to reschedule for the 3rd time. We were given many suggestions of bakeries to use for our cake. Some of these suggestions came from our other vendors and some came from our venues preferred vendor list. Many of the bakeries that we contacted did not get back to due to the pandemic. Those that did were not very motivated to talk to us because our Wedding date was so for out and told us to call them back 4-6 months prior to the wedding. I was purposely trying to get all of my vendors set up early, because I knew that once things opened up, there would be a mad rush of people rescheduling their weddings. We found Martha and Artistic Cakes one day while I was searching on Yelp. From day 1, Martha was quick to respond and sent us all of the information regarding her cakes, pricing and designs! Her warm and friendly personality made us feel that she truly cared about our business and was always open to listening to our ideas for our vision of our cake! We did our tasting during Covid and Martha created 2 individual tasting plates for us to pick up and taste when we got home. We were so impressed by the taste and texture of her cakes, filling and icings and we knew right away that she was the one we wanted to design our cake. For the next few months we communicated via email, going back and forth with our ideas. Martha was always open to listening to our ideas. However, she had developed such a trusting rapport with us that we were just as open to her ideas as the professional cake Designer. A few months later after we were all vaccinated we met Martha at her house on her beautiful patio to look through her books and come up with our initial design. We chose to have all 3 tiers be the same. We chose her marble cake with a caramel filling and her natural icing. We met one more time about 2 months before the wedding to finalize the design. Fast forward to the wedding date. Words can not describe the final product! The cake was so beautiful! In fact, when it came time to do the cake cutting, I didn't want to cut it! When my now husband fed me my fork full, I was in awe of how delicious it was! The cake was so moist and the fudge that Martha used for the marble was incredible. Additionally the icing was just so amazing! We received so many compliments from our guests about the cake. One of our guests said that they usually never eat the cake at the wedding, but after one bite they could not stop eating it! We were not able to eat our cake at the reception, because we were so busy! They wrapped up our pieces and we ate them the next morning with our coffee. Even the next morning, the cake tasted incredible!We would highly recommend Martha from Artistic Cakes for your wedding or any other other special occasions. I cannot speak highly enough of Martha and her cakes. To begin with, the cake is legitimately great. I've had custom cakes before that while pretty, tasted like cardboard. That is not the case here. Martha has lots of flavors and fillings. I intend to try them all. The ordering process is super simple as well. I gave her pictures for inspiration and she delivered her own take on the idea. Martha is truly an artist. The cakes have been gorgeous every time. I wish I had known about Martha sooner, but better late than never. I'll be ordering all my cakes from her from now on. Martha was so personable. She answers promptly. I gave her a picture of the cake I wanted for my daughters 1st birthday she did an amazing job. I was so surprised and so happy with the turn out. She gave me a really good deal for it as well. The cake was so delicious and icing was just right! Martha is so professional and her work is impeccable. My daughters cake was beautiful and tasted wonderful. Her taste testing was professional and accommodated for me and my daughter last minute. My husband and I reached out a few months before our wedding. We were scared we wouldn't be able to find anyone with short notice due to the pandemic, but we found just the right person! From beginning to end, our experience was amazing. For our cake tasting, she gave us the option of picking up a cake tasting kit or a cake tasting in her beautiful outdoor home patio....lucky for us her home was a short distance from us. Let me tell you...all cakes, frostings, and fillings were amazing! It was hard to choose! My husband and I chose chocolate and vanilla with her amazing strawberry filling. Martha is truly an amazing person. She worked closely with us since day one and was always responsive to any questions we had. She went above and beyond. Everyone at our wedding raved about how beautiful it looked and also how moist and great the cake tasted. We can't thank her enough for her great work and amazing customer service. I just had to come here and update my review! Martha is the sweetest and I will never find another baker as good as she is! She just did my daughters first birthday cake and I wanted it the same flavor as our wedding cake and she did not disappoint! I'm so in love with her work.. semi naked cake looked amazing and the flavors are to die for! Martha was absolutely incredible! She made our wedding cake and did not disappoint one bit. Everyone loved the cake. We got so many compliments on how beautiful it looked and how amazing it tasted. Martha was so professional and so kind from beginning to end. My husband and I were so impressed by her professionalism and her knowledge. She is very creative and talented. She took the time to listen to what we wanted and also gave us a lot of helpful information. Martha also made the cake tasting portion of the process so enjoyable and something so fun.
