Been here for nearly 5-6 months now. I enjoy coming to every class and all the instructors are great to work with. The Friday night parties are always great way to end the work week. Our experience was with Carlos & Kiana as instructors. We couldn't have been happier with our time at Arthur Murray. This is one of the best staffed businesses I have ever encountered. The staff is very friendly, outgoing, and very knowledgeable about their profession. Our instructor is very patient with me and always spends more time with me when I need it. I would recommend this studio to any one who would want to take beginner dance lessons or to some one who already dances and wants to hone their skills, these instructors will definitely make them feel welcomed and make them reach any level of dance they desire. We signed up for lessons so we wouldn't feel embarrassed doing our "first dance" at our wedding. Our wedding was 2 months ago and we are still taking lessons. Kiana is our instructor and she is so patient! We are not the most graceful or co-ordinated couple, yet she never gets upset with us. For our wedding, we chose the song and she taught us the steps and and showed us how to combine them to make the dance flow. We practiced at every lesson for months and at our wedding--we nailed it! All the instructors--Carlos, Liz, Kiana, and Aaron--are so friendly and helpful. Even if they aren't your instructor for your weekly lesson, they are willing to give advice and help you to master a tricky step. I am so glad we signed up for lessons at this studio! It felt so good to be able to do more than the "stand in one spot and sway" dance for our wedding!! If you're thinking of taking lessons, please give this studio a call--you'll be so glad you did! The instructors at this studio are excellent. They really take time in teaching the steps and explain it in such a way that it makes sense and is easy to follow. If you forget a combination, they cheerfully repeat it or watch to see what the problem is.... you NEVER feel inferior for not remembering how to get in or get out of a pattern, quite the contrary, they apologize that perhaps they had not taught it in a way that would "stick in your mind" ( and your feet!!!) This is a great place to learn to dance. No matter how slow or awkward you are, the instructors are very encouraging and allow you to learn at your own pace. You can learn the basics for social dancing or focus on performance-level dancing. You get to know the other students well through group classes, and there's a friendly, supportive social atmosphere. I have been dancing at Arthur Murray for more than 4 years. It continues to be fun whether I dance at the studio, night out on the town or Showcase Dances with all 4 studios. I have met many new friends of all ages and it is great exercise. It keeps you young. My advice is try dancing, you actually will enjoy it. The staff at the McMurray Studio is great! Learning to dance with my husband translates to life in so many ways! It is a joy to do this together at a wonderful studio where the staff treats you like family. According to Arthur Murray's book "How To Become A Good Dancer" he claimed that anyone can become a fine dancer. "We dance because it's fun; that's reason enough.." A lot of people learn to dance because they have an event coming up that requires a basic knowledge of dance. My husband and I joined Arthur Murray Dance Studio totally for the fun of learning how to dance. And fun it is! We have had three lessons so far and have gone to almost every group dance during the week. Our instructor Kiana has been wonderful. She goes over the steps and makes sure we know them before moving on to something new. She is encouraging, energetic, and is genuinely excited when things finally click with us. Carlos, Liz, and Aaron are amazing also. Whether they are teaching you a new dance on group night or sharing the dance floor with you on Friday night Dance Party they are always enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. My fiance and I started taking dance this winter to prepare for our wedding. I didn't know what to expect at first, or if it was something we'd even enjoy. I can say now that signing up for the package was a great choice! They offer free group classes to anyone who signs up for a package and you can go as much as you want! The teachers are all very talented, fun, and PATIENT. We've enjoyed taking lessons from each of them to see their different techniques and I've really enjoyed this. I've been thinking about taking ballroom dance classes for years now and it's not because of the popularity of the TV series, "Dancing with the Stars". I actually don't even watch it!There's something timeless and classic about ballroom dancing and I wanted to get a taste so I was thrilled when I saw a Groupon for Arthur Murray Dance Studio. With the Groupon I received 2 private lessons and 4 group lessons.I'm still in the midst of my group lessons but have completed the 2 private lessons. My instructor was Brandon and he's professional, patient, and a great teacher. So far my experience has been very positive and fun. Learning ballroom dancing is a lot harder than I expected but I've learned to be patient with myself and realize that all good things come in time.
