Mike DJ’d for our organization’s holiday party last week. He was PHENOMENAL! We typed up a detailed script for him and he totally owned it. It took the pressure off of the event organizers to have someone be excited, energized, and fun lead our evening better than what we could’ve hoped for. Part of our evening was playing group games and giving out prizes and he was definitely able to hype up the crowd for everything and ran the games so well. When it came time to dancing at the end of the evening, Mike played many crowd favorites and was able to keep people on the dance floor and even bring out the shy dancers to enjoy the music as well. Mike was the DJ at our ceremony and wedding. He far exceeded our expectations! He was pleasant, professional, and kept the guest dancing — I don’t recall one moment where the dance floor was empty! What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Any one can show up to an event and play a standard list of songs. As a musician, I have been able to share stages with professional recording artists and learn how they change and react to a crowd. Of course I have a list songs which will generally do well, but I will read the reaction and change the song list accordingly. Each event is different and tailored to the audience.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I love to be both active and interactive!! I m professional when needed, but when it is time to party.......LET'S PARTY! I also love a big coordinated lighting show! I bring one of the areas largest DJ lighting systems to your event. Moving lights, fog, lasers - I like to turn the dance floor into a night club!
What do you love most about your job?
I get to celebrate with everyone! My job is literally FUN!!!!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been a semi-professional musician/ entertainer for decades and was fortunate enough to share stages and nights with some BIG names in the business. I learned how to react to people, how to run sound equipment and how to operate lights. I saw that too many brides and grooms were paying way too much for a cookie cutter reception that was run by someone who could not change with the clients. If problems arose with the equipment, they did not know how to troubleshoot and keep things going. I wanted to combine my knowledge and experience to create a DJ company that was fun, adaptive, reliable, and affordable!
