Maddilicious Catering was the vendor we enlisted to cater all of our food for our wedding in September of 2019. I personally had found out about Maddilicious Catering through a work event in Citrus State Park. Little did I know at the time, but Maddilicious would be who my wife and I elected to use for our wedding. Maddilicious was kind enough to have us for two separate tastings in their Riverside restaurant to get a truly thorough overview of their endless options from appetizers, sides, entrees, and even desserts. All of our vendors were outstanding for our wedding, however I want to highlight how great Maddilicious Catering was. Led by Jessica and Executive Chef Maddie, our entire wedding guest list was treated to exceptional taste and quality of food, yet with a beautiful home-cooked feel.Maddilicious was responsible for all of the food at our wedding and also dining ware. They offered a huge appetizer station which included a myriad of simpler bites to coincide with our hand picked appetizers. They offer a variety of dinner options from a meat station, seated dinners, or a buffet. The buffet is what we elected for and it worked out wonderfully. People throughout the night of our wedding raved about how tasty the food was. We also had Maddilicious offer a cobbler station to go along with a variety of other desserts and boy was it tasty! Simply put Jessica, Maddie and their team were all stars on our special day.Food is one of the most important things people will remember your event for. Cafe is across the parking lot from Galaxy Theatre. The inside is small, but cute and clean. Staff is friendly.The Italian Pressed Deli sandwich is ginormous and delicious. Allan acted not only as our DJ but provided processional music and was the MC at my wedding in early June, 2019 at Seven7Seven in Laguna Beach. He arrived on time, rehearsed, and was set-up and ready to entertain our guests with energy and his amazing voice! He was singing along to many standards much to the enjoyment and surprise of our guests. Allan was also very helpful for the order and timing of speeches, announcements, timing of our grand entrance, father/daughter dance, tossing of the bouquet....He played songs we wanted and happily took requests from guests throughout the evening. His professionalism and showmanship was noted by wedding guests who asked for his information for future gigs. Allan provided beautiful uplighting in our reception tent which elevated the decor and ambiance of the venue. Came here during my trip to Riverside on Memorial Day Weekend. And I regret not coming back for another box of donuts before I left. I ordered the Golpho donuts and a frappe. A friend and I went here for lunch about a week ago. We got there around 11:00. I ordered the half and half with Lobsta Bisque and the pressed Italian Veggie sandwich. I also ordered a cannoli to go. My friend ordered the half and half Kale and Brusselsprout Salad and the pressed Italian Veggie Sandwich. We chose to sit outside on their small patio. This place is a little gem! Allan is the best DJ/MC you will ever come across! The secret to keeping a party dancing all night long? It's not really a secret! It's interaction! It's GREAT music designed specifically for you and your guest! It's reading the crowd and going with the flow of what happening is vital! It's keeping the celebration moving!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Energetic, yet, Professional. Entertaining through excellent music and top notch M.C. work! I'm also a professional vocalist! I love what I do and that shows in my performance! The guests at my events become a part of that joy!
What do you love most about your job?
What do I love most about my job? Hmmmm. First, I don't consider it a job. It's more of a calling. I love the fact that I get to provide the entertainment and be such an integral part of what, depending on the event, is the best day of someone's life. Meeting new people every week and being able to make them smile and laugh brings me undesirable happiness!
What inspired you to start your own business?
It wasn't so much inspiration as it was necessity. I started singing at an early age and started writing lyrics in my teens. I've always LOVED music! Even while going through the obligatory kid jobs, (i.e., fast food, menial labor, etc...) I realized that I couldn't find any fulfillment in a normal 9-5. Side note: I'm also somewhat a gear head and enjoy tinkering on cars and have done that since my teens as well and had a job as a mechanic for a while. I realized, however, that even though it made me happy, it wasn't enough. I lasted about 6 months in the corporate world. Good money, No joy. Fortunately, I soon discovered the world of entertainment. My other "happy place". Music. I knew that I needed to do something that not only made ME happy, but, brought joy to others. I started playing and singing just for fun. People liked it. It organically progressed into something bigger and I've never looked back. I suppose that my inspiration was doing something I loved. The business is a by-product.
Why should our clients choose you?
Good question. I suppose that a good reason to choose me would be the fact that I give my all to ensure that every event I do is the best it can be. The people that book me tend to book me again. That means a lot to me. I have people that still talk about my work 10+ years after the event. I'm entertaining without making it about me. It's YOUR day, not mine. I'm just there to facilitate the joy of the event and make you and your guests ecstatic.
