Anytime Fitness Wildwood

I look forward to two things when I come home from school on the weekends: home cooked meals and going to the gym. I love this place! Great equipment and great hours ;)

I had never stepped foot in to a gym before, and the staff here made me feel very welcome. Having been a member of several different high profile gyms in Los Angeles, I never really expect much from them except crowds and high prices. I decided to give Anytime Fitness in Wildwood a try as it is the closest gym to our house. I got a two week trial to begin with, and was pleasantly surprised that the owner did not pressure me to join before I was able to do my free trial (as it has been with every other gym I've been to - the "free trial" only comes after a high pressure sales pitch that basically means you end up signing up right then). I got my key pass and got the tour, and then was free to come and go for two weeks to try it out. I love the setup of this gym! High end equipment, no huge crowds, and the classes - whatever class you want, whenever you want and you take it by yourself (so they're never full and you're not taking it right during dinnertime or your kids bedtime). My husband and I recently joined this gym after an unscheduled "drop-in" visit/tour. After the tour, I googled it before making the commitment and came across a single horrible yelp review. It didn't fit with what I had observed, but did make me hesitant to join. Because of its convenient location, I decided to take the risk and join for a year. I have been going to the gym for nearly 2 months now, and was carefully observing cleanliness issues because of the negative review. One of the first days I worked out, I noticed a dead fly on the windowsill and thought it would be a good way to see if the place was cleaned regularly; the next day when I went to work out the fly was gone. I have found the place to be kept super clean, and the owners to be extremely forthcoming with information and extremely friendly. I like the laid back non-intimindating atmosphere, and the high-end and well maintained equipment. I came from a gym where I was paying twice as much, and while this place doesn't have all of the extra amenities, it provides everything you need for a quality workout conveniently.I never write reviews, but felt compelled to offer an alternative review for people looking for an affordable, convenient, quality gym in Wildwood.
