In short: tweaking vs. overhauling. This sets up a client for a positive environment that fosters goal achievement.

Honestly it is doing less than one would think they need to do. Training 100's of people over the past 21 years, you learn to truly see the human spirit and how people best are motivated and are best at maintaining goals. And that is working on attainable and malleable goal setting step by step.

I absolutely love the long-term relationships that develop. My goal is to build a total wellness fitness plan that clients will sense they can attain step by step. My passion is long-range client retention vs. short-term focused relationships.

I started out training clients in a big box health club. During those amazing beginning years of my professional journey, I loved the fast paced, busy "open air" feel with clients but knew that I wanted to create a very unique and personalized experience for my clients. I purchased a home intentionally knowing I wanted to utilize the home for a work/life space. I now train all my clients in person from my home that has been converted in to a beautiful, client-focused studio. In addition, I train those clients online if they choose that route.

Absolutely! I can work with clients online using Zoom. Very minimal equipment is needed for a very customized, personalized workout experience for each client.

Im very grateful that I was able to continue working with clients all through the Covid era. I had already established myself as an in person and online via zoom trainer before the very challenging Covid era. I currently require clients and myself to continue masking in my work/life studio space. I space clients out 15 minutes in between each of them so that I have time to carefully sanitize entry space, client restroom and equipment that clients utilize for sessions. I also have added three HEPA filter air purifiers on each floor to keep the air quality very high. In addition I cross-ventilate by opening windows during the warm and cooler months. When the AC is used, I make sure have the central unit inspected yearly for cleanliness.

I am trained in bodybuilding techniques and utilize these techniques for all clients even if they are not interested in becoming a bodybuilder. There is value in applying these techniques to all clients for building bone density, muscle, and being able to lift items in daily life more successfully.

I utilize a variety of equipment to help build better balance and stability in clients. From BOSU ball workout to utilizing balance discs, balance beam workouts (without the legs attached), and other creative balance solutions, clients will develop greater ability to adapt to situations in life where they may lose their balance and handle those situations more safely.

The TRX is a very popular body angle method using an attached strap mechanism. It challenges the core and stabilization portions of clients. This will help not only athletes but individuals seeking to expand on traditional weight training as a means of building muscle endurance and total core.

I am both 200 Hour yoga trained plus trauma informed yoga trained. Clients benefit from my skills in these key areas of their fitness. I can customize sessions to be fitness yoga focused and/or restorative and healing focused yoga. Clients greatly benefit from adding these mind/body techniques for total wellness, flexibility and life adaptive skills.

Clients will experience cross training into both Mat and Reformer methods. These amazing corrective and lengthening techniques really support a greater well body focus.

Riding to the beat and using inspiration from Road, Mountain and BMX biking has fantastic calorie burning, core training, power training and athletic training benefits. This fantastic and super indoor cycling format benefits all ages.

Clients benefit greatly from these HIIT style bootcamp workouts that are totally customized for each individual needs. Using a variety of equipment, these interactive and rejuvenating workouts are challenging and super fun.

Utilizing a variety of fitness methods, I modify workouts for men and women that have the desire to age well. With focuses on falls prevention, balance training, strength training for bone density, flexibility training, and more, the active ager has a special place in working with me.

Some clients have the desire to work on shaping and re-shaping their bodies without surgery. I have a very keen eye to what an aesthetically well balanced body looks like and how to utilize a variety of fitness methods to achieve this look. I take the time to listen to each clients aesthetic goals and help them achieve those goals.

I work with clients that desire to meet with me once a week or once every other week. I also give these clients assignments to work on in between these consulting sessions. This gives clients autonomy and yet a place to find fitness and wellness guidance in achieving their goals.

Helping to bridge the gap from Physical Therapy to Personal Training, I specialize in helping to take over after a client has spent time rehabbing from an injury and now is being released to begin exercising after physical therapy. Clients are often nervous about this step and I will take their physical therapy exercises and begin to slowly expand upon them for a positive post-rehab fitness experience.
