Amy was a joy to work with from our engagement photos to our wedding day. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Letting it happen naturally! People look best in photographs when they are comfortable and relaxed. I do very little posing in my photographs so each client gets a set of original images that are truly their own.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
How did you hear about me? What made you think we would be a good fit to work together? And then maybe some fun questions to get to know them like, what is your favorite outdoor activity? What new TV shows have you been binging on Netflix lately? Do you have any fur babies at home (and if so show my pictures please!!) But I think the most important question I ask every client is 'What do you hope to gain out of these photographs, and what memories will be the most important?' because I really do believe that every photograph you take or have taken of you is more than just a picture, its saving that moment forever because it was important to you.
What do you love most about your job?
All of the wonderful clients I've had that have become friends! Making these connections with people simply by capturing memories for them is incredibly humbling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had a passion for photography, really since I was a child. Luckily I was able to turn that passion into my career.
