My favorite restaurant and diner in old New Jersey. The menu changes often because the ingredients are fresh. All the food tastes fantastic, it's very clean and modern. An incredible find! The atmosphere was so relaxed and, for a lack of better terms, 'swanky and sophisticated'. The staff was cordial and the drinks perfectly prepared. ..most importantly, my Filet Mignon was one of the best I have ever enjoyed away from home. Even Constantine the owner was on hand to offer some great suggestions regarding the menu and their moves forward (some attractive updates to the building are nearly completed). Awesome, unique menu. Note this is no longer a diner. No where near. Only issue is that there where tables open but still had to wait about 10-15 minutes with no where to sit except the bar. Maybe this will be fixed once they are done renovating which will include an outdoor patio. More...

Very impressed with the cool, modern setup, vibe and menu. Dined Saturday night with a large family group, we were seated quickly and served at a high level. We ordered each different dish and shared the food. All the dishes were amazing, and the price was reasonable. This is not the Americana Diner you know and love. It no longer has that 1960's iconography and architecture. It has evolved and transformed into a fine dining experience. Americana is now a very chic and modern restaurant. The waiters take your orders on Ipads and the interior has been remodeled to look like a classy hotel. There is a massive u shaped bar which now serves as the restaurant's centerpiece.With this change comes a brand new menu and new eco conscious dining that focuses on local food and reduction of plastic waste.You will notice that a lot of Americana classic diner staples are gone. No more quesadillas or pulled pork sandwiches here and the prices will reflect that.Now you can get roast chicken, chicken milanese, grass fed burgers, hummus, and a pricey pork chop.Americana was never a cheap place to dine at but with the new menu, it has gone higher end. Not unaffordable but definitely in line with major restaurant chains like Longhorn Steakhouse or Chile's.Though the prices are expensive, the quality of the food and the dining experience has also gone up. In the past, Americana's food could be hit or miss. Now, I can say that the food is consistently excellent.Americana still has the best French onion soup in the Mercer County area and the dessert menu is to die for. It is impossible for me to come to Americana and not get, soup, entree, and dessert.For three people with 1 app, 3 entrees, 3 desserts, 2 bottles of water, 2 coffees, the meal cost 117 without the tip. This is also without ordering the $25.00 pork chop or the even higher priced steaks.Although the menu has gotten smaller and leaner, the choices are high quality and provide healthy sides, like grilled vegetables. They also list ingredients and highlight foods that are vegetarian or gluten free.A lot of people from NJ are going to be upset that Americana has transformed themselves into a pricier fine dining experience, but honestly, it is a change for the better.The restaurant is beautiful, classy, and the food is succulent and filling without resorting to huge portion sizes. Personally, I have had awful meals in the old Americana. This one is consistent and high quality worthy of the increase in price.Although I can't afford eating here often, I always leave satisfied, fulfilled, and happy when I do. More...

Wow! Simply delicious. I ordered the avocado and chips ( beautiful presentation, chunky pieces and very nice ) / The portion was ok, the quality was super. Ordered the butter greens salad ( Light airy, goat cheese,cashews, apples with a dressing from heaven itself). Also ordered the pastrami sandwich ( sour kraut was homemade / not runny / very tasty ). The sandwich came with fries/ketchup... The quality of the ketchup was delicious. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had . The sauces were so well crafted. Outstanding! Americana just became my favorite place to eat. The food here is delicious!!! We've been twice now and ordered different everything to sample the menu and it was all amazing. This is a very lovely place beautiful Decour and impeccable service. Three of us stopped in for lunch and everyone was happy with their choice. The desserts are to die for.
