Decision and finding company:I had to move from Elmsford to White Plains. I was planing to move myself and couple of other guys (planing to hire) but once I moved our bedroom one day I realized that it is too much work for us. One of my friends recommended this company because her brother used to work there... I knew this company any I used to see their trucks on our local roads all the time, but never used them before. Contact and making a deal:I called the phone number on Friday and talked to gentleman over the phone on Monday. He gave me the price and told me that I have to decide within 2-3 hours for booking. After I decided to go with this company, I wanted see their office and meet them in person. They are occupying couple of buildings on same street. They were very nice and seemed like trustworthy. I booked for 12:00pm for Monday. They told me that to give them a call on moving day around 10:00am and 11:00am to find exactly time they will be showing...Moving day:I did called them around 10:30am and confirmed for their arrival by noon. They showed up right on time and moved my stuff with care. There was nothing broken or missing. They carried my stuff to 4th floor and this moving company met all my expectations in every single way. I highly recommend Al's Moving and Storage. We recently moved to Florida from White Plains. We never moved before and for this to be our first move it was a lot of work. Sandy and Al advised us what to do and we followed their instructions. The staff was courteous and kind and took care.of our belongings. Moving is stressful but knowing that our stuff was in good hands made some of the stress dissipate. I have heard moving horror stories and was leary of using movers at all but I am so glad we went to Al's. Thank you Al & Sandy for making our move easy. I used Al's moving for a move from NY to NJ, and it was as stress free as could be. The team of men arrived right on time and got to work immediately. They provided me with wardrobe boxes, wrapped my items carefully, and even dusted the bottom of my furniture before putting it in the truck!! When we arrived at the new apartment, the foreman (Benny) installed my air conditioner (and repaired part of it!). When they saw a piece was missing on a table top, they went out of their way to let me know and to help fix it (even though it was missing way before the move). Moving is as stressful as it gets! Working with Al's Moving and Storage reduced the stress to ZERO! Getting the estimate from Al and Sandra was about the most personal experience ever. They relaxed both me and my husband. They answered every question in person and when they left and I called a million times either Sandra, Al or one of his staff were patient and very helpful. And on moving day, four wonderful guys entered my house.....professional, strong, helpful and very efficient. The job was done in no time and I did not experience one bit of stress.
