We used Allburn Florists for our April 2019 wedding. One meeting with Melissa was all it took to convince us that we’d be in good hands. She did an excellent job offering suggestions and combining her expertise with our preferences. The actual flowers for the wedding day were absolutely gorgeous. Melissa went above and beyond. She came early to decorate the chapel, and stayed to make sure the flower girls, bridesmaids, and I got down the aisle with our bouquets. Planning a wedding from a distance is hard, but Melissa made it feel like a piece of cake. She was so easy to communicate with via email and the phone that planning was a breeze. She also was able to see my vision immediately. As she was familiar with my venue she was even able to add things that really made it amazing that I didn't know I wanted. Allburn's is the absolute best choice for wedding flowers (or really any flowers). I met Melissa Roberts when I was looking at venues and she happened to be setting up flowers for a wedding at Lake Shore Country Club. When I saw how carefully yet efficiently she was arranging flowers and how gorgeous the flowers were, I knew I wanted to work with her. I had a couple meetings with Melissa, and she even walked the venue with my husband and me, to determine how the logistics would work for my wedding. I confidently gave Melissa the task of setting up lawn signs, lighting the pathway and arranging flowers on all of the tables. She executed my vision of a "freshly picked" look perfectly, and included flowers that gave a tasteful nod to our red, white and blue patriotic themed wedding. I live out of town now, and Melissa was always accessible by email during the planning stages. I cannot wait until I have another event so that I have reason to call up Melissa and see what she can create. My family has continued to go to Allburn's for all of our wreaths and seasonal flower needs in our home, and we love sending flowers to friends and family. I am beyond satisfied with Allburn for my wedding flowers. They were absolutely beautiful! When I had decided on the general "feel" of the wedding, I'd sat down with Melissa from Allburn to talk to her about it and see if we could achieve what I wanted to: create happiness in flower form! I wanted my girls to wear black dresses and then have all different color shoes, with the flowers being all the colors of the shoes. She was supportive and worked with me on budget so I could get the right colors without overpaying. It turned out absolutely perfect. It was a very warm but gloomy day outside when we did get married, but the flowers brought the joy I felt in my heart! Our flowers were very central to the overall look of the wedding. With black bridesmaid dresses, I really was relying on their colorful shoes and beautiful flowers to give the ceremony its feeling of happiness and joy, and boy did they deliver! The flowers were joyful, gorgeous, and perfectly arranged. They also provided me with an arch with fresh flowers at the top that matched ours, and it took my breath away. This florist is amazing! From my first phone call with Chris to the final detail they handled everything. I only gave a few guidelines of colors, etc for our daughters wedding and they did above and beyond what I wanted. The guests continued to remark how simple and elegant everything was. All the flowers & greenery where beautiful and fresh. Also since we are not from the Erie area Chris calmed my nerves telling me "don't worry about a thing-we have this" and he was right he and his staff where efficient, courteous and professional. I went in with very high expectations of Allburn Florist based on their reputation and other work I've seen done and I still came out completely WOWED by their work. Melissa R. took every request and vision and created floral arrangements that were fun, colorful and still classic and "bridal." I'm not sure what's in the water at Allburn Florist but the flowers were big, vibrant, and did not wilt a bit in the 80-degree heat. Guests commented on the beauty of the flowers the whole day. Melissa was very responsive throughout the whole process and my venue coordinator commented that she and her staff were wonderful to work with. As for me and my family, we will be customers for life. We order two flower arrangements for our friend’s funeral and one required a framed photo. Normally the customer has to supply it but since we were coming from out of town, an employee printed the photo and bought a frame on her own time and only charged the amount that the beautiful frame cost her. I knew after my first meeting with Melissa that Allburn would be our wedding florist. We were smart about the timing of our meeting and met a year prior to our wedding in the month that we'd be getting married (October). Melissa had a variety of seasonal flowers available to show us on the spot and even sent me home with a small sample bouquet of the flowers we chose. I wanted flowers that were a little less traditional- not so much the roses, calla lilies, carnations, etc. and Melissa delivered. She introduced me to some beautiful varieties I'd never even heard of. The day of the wedding, she was at the church to pin on the boutonnieres and make sure everything looked perfect. The flowers at the reception were breathtaking. Vibrant colors provided a gorgeous contrast to the gold and white table linens and chair covers. I have been dealing with Allburn Florist for years from Florida. I am from Erie and Alllburn was the Florist to go to.  When my mom was alive they delivered to her and now my husband for the last 3 years to Calvary Cemetery. We worked with Melissa at Allburn's. She was amazing from our first meeting to the cocktail hour, she was very interested in and involved with the wedding. She was always available to meet and go over changes, which was very important because I was planning the wedding from out of town.
