I have loved this place, but attended the New Years event last night. Besides running into a Jack Ass out of towner customer in the parking lot, they served freezer burned shrimp in the shrimp scampi. I should of mentioned it, per management, they would of corrected it, other than that, the soup, salads, ravioli and filet was excellent. Overall the food was great. It's a smaller place and we had a group of 8, so we were a little scrunched but they offered us free dessert due to the inconvenience. Granted, this five star review might be in-part due to the fact that we walked in starving and tired from a day on the slopes, but Sauce on the Blue "blue" us away (haha, ok no? ).The restaurant is nice and cozy, with plenty of seating. The only downside is that the booth area is pretty cramped - we were super close to two other tables and felt a little self-conscious talking at a normal volume. The food though.... the food was amazing. Roasted Brussel Sprout: 5/5 - these brussel sprouts were roasted to perfection, nice and crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The combination of balsamic vinaigrette, aoli, and fried prosciutto did us in. The sprouts were gone in two minutes. House Salad: 4/5 - we got the family size to share and the portions were just enough for the four of us. Their toppings were good; we especially liked the roasted red peppers. The only missing seemed to be the dressing, which tasted very light. Supremo 16 inch Pizza: 6/5 - you must get this if you eat meat and breathe oxygen. The combination of bacon, sausage, caramelized onions, wild mushrooms that tasted like truffle, and roasted red pepper was HEAVENLY. The crust was nice and thin and crispy, and the cheese was delicious. Everyone in our party was absolutely obsessed! And the red marinara sauce.... so good with the amount of garlic that wafted with every bite. Definitely recommend Sauce on the Blue if you're in the Lake Dillon / Silverthorne area! It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it after a long day on the slopes. More...

What a great find in Silverthorne! It was pretty busy on a Friday night but we were able to find a table in their bar area right away (a group of people was leaving). The drinks were delicious, and I didn't have high expectations when it comes to the food but was pleasantly surprised. Their trout was to die for! Not the most dietary version but it was perfect (I am sure you could probably ask for it to be served without all the sauces).I highly recommend it - the "family" size was enough to feed 3-4 people (even though it says it serves 2).Their pizza was really good as well.Overall, the service was very friendly, the decor and atmosphere were quite fun and the food was delightful!! The food is so good.I had brussel sprouts on happy hour and should have stopped there, because they were awesome.Instead I also ordered the Penne Vodka sauce w/ scallops. Hands down the best penne vodka sauce I e ever had. The scallops put it over the top. So tender and delicious.On top of that the staff were incredibly nice and helpful recommending things.Next time I'm in Silverthorne I will make a stop at Sauce. So Good! More...

Me and my boyfriend stay here for the winter for the ski season and we just got back to our favorite spot, Sauce on the Blue. We order the same almost every time, sausage rigatoni salad, and a couple cocktails. We ordered the family style and it came out lukewarm we had told her server Laura when she checked up on us what the problem was. she immediately fix the problem by getting us a nice fresh hot meal it looks much better in color, tasted much better, and the portion was bigger. Me and my girlfriends ate hear on our girls vaca. The atmosphere upon walking in was very inviting, beautiful lighting. It was very busy and the hostess said she would make it work for us to get seated. We were looking at all the food others were eating around us... wow! It all looked fabulous! Out of town visiting family. We had gone here after we had taken a drive to see the scenery. The views alone are amazing! It might be cold outside but you warm up immediately the second you walk in . The booths and tables are comfortable and the decore fits perfect. Nestled on the mountains you can enjoy hot coffee whole you wait. The food is to die for! Wait staff is immpecable!
