Dined here on Saturday night. A wedding was going on, but other than that, the place was pretty much empty. That was the first flag that went up for us. Our server was great. Food was pretty good. They came over with complimentary bread, that was a small loaf for 6 people and told us they were out of bread. Second flag. While we were having our dinner, we saw a person from the wedding party walking through the dining area. She was getting 'sick to her stomach' and was unable to 'contain' it with her hand she had over her mouth. We understand that situations happen, not the restaurants fault. But, we sat there at our table for at least 1/2 hour after seeing this happen. Once we finally got our check and paid it, we went to leave. As we walked out, we had to be careful where to walk since they didn't bother to mop the vomit up off the floor, and we walked past the bar and the bartender and another employee made a joke about it being there!!! Seriously!! There is no reason that they didn't clean that up! It's a restaraunt for gods sake! Disgusting!!!!!!REGARDING THE BUSINESS OWNERS RESPONSE: I'm guessing you were not there that night, because it WAS NOT cleaned up, we had a clear view of the trail to the bathroom and saw staff members repeatedly walk through it! We sat on the patio overlooking the pond. The food was great. Our server recommended the brussels sprouts as an appetizer, and they were delicious. My husband and I shared the chicken parmesan and still had leftovers. A bonus was the moose who wandered down to the pond and played before moving on! More...

Wish there was an option for no stars. Right when getting there we felt uncomfortable because we were younger and we were treated poorly because of it. Went in having high expectations because the way they present themselves on their page however that was not the case. Server was blatantly rude to our faces and didn't even care for our table at all but was very pleasant to his other tables, we were treated different for our age. The most unprofessional place I have ever ate for a place that considers themselves as a classier place. This is an AMAZING Italian restaurant. First off, the food is amazing. The portions are HUGE. You get your moneys worth. But our server made the night. Lorreene was super sweet and very gracious. Fantastic Italian food with a large dining space and wonderful location in Breckenridge. Sauce on the Maggie Accommodated large groups of 8+ people. All portions were a great size. Service was great as well. Absolutely recommend visiting when in Breckenridge for Italian food, especially with a group and setting a reservation ahead of time as Breckenridge can fill up reservations months ahead on weekends. I don't understand how the same menu can be executed so differently. We frequently eat at Sauce on The Blue and have never had a bad meal. Our experience at Sauce on the Maggie was disappointing. We were visiting out of town friends in Breckenridge. We had a good time and nice visit. The service was excellent as we have come to expect. But the food wasn't. I'd describe it as average at best. Ordered take out and even though we got there a little after the listed pick up time, we still waited 30-45 minutes for our food to be ready. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Slow service. First we waited at least 5 minutes at the hostess stand before anyone acknowledged us. Waitress then had attitude because waiter stole her table. And when I asked where our wine was, she essentially said it wasn't her problem since she had poured the wine and he had not delivered to us. The food was good. Food here was sooo good! Located super close to the ski resort (near quicksilver lift). Couldn't say enough about the friendly staff too, everyone was so friendly to us. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious and nice, cozy dining atmosphere. Very convenient for us while staying at The Village. Other than our waitress not knowing the special (and telling us there wasn't a special of the day when other tables were offered the special by other waitresses), everything was delicious and came out quick. We stumbled on the spot while looking for lunch after leaving a cafeteria style restaurant near the slopes (cafeteria messed up our wait for the table). Sauce on the Maggie was fantastic! They made our toddler happy with a butter noodle spaghetti. The other three of us had their; meatball, chicken parm, and Italian sandwiches. The variety of food was good. Everyone liked what they got. The wine choices were fair but could have been better quality. I got the Pennie's Al vodka basil spaghettini and I thought the basil was strong but my wife did not thinks. The Caesar salad could feed 4 easily.. Make no mistake, this is not the same restaurant as at the Breckenridge base. After skiing all day I was super excited about our reservation for Italian food. Sauce on the Maggie didn't disappoint! A lot of the meals are available family style so we ordered a Caesar salad and my son and I split a chicken ala vodka. Even with a 16 year old and myself we didn't get close to finishing the meal. The tomatoes in the sauce were fresh tasting as was the basil. This was a hearty meal and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The salad wasn't drenched with dressing and the lettuce greens were crisp. They also had Brussel sprouts which were tossed in oil, bacon, and balsamic. They were amazing. Our waitress was a pro and was a pleasure to talk to. Went to the Maggie by Breck and the vaccine police was on full alert. Not a anti vacc'er but man, this is not America. I saw a packed lounge full of people not wearing masks, drunk, typical ski lounge. Why is it Vail does not have this lame policy? Because it's only for the poor sheeples? WEV! Walked around the corner and found THE Sauce! Not just a pizza place but an Italian Restaurant with a full bar! Meatball sandwich, Not crowded, great jazz music, awesome wine, and fantastic food. Service? On par with any Michelin Star Restaurant. Price? Same as the "Breck" resort restaurants. What's wrong with the picture here? I know where I'm going the next time we're looking for food. Absolutely the worst food I have ever had! We ordered 4 apps on happy hour, the meatballs were not horrible but The burrata tasted like chemicals I choked down my bite, the rigatoni we couldn't even eat and she didn't charge us for it, the steak tips tasted like cat food. We live in Keystone, love Sauce on the Blue, and eat there or take out quite often. Decided to try "sister restaurant" Sauce on the Maggie in September. Reservations on a Thursday at 630. That plaza area where the restaurant is located was deserted. We were the ONLY table there! The menu is exactly the same as Blue, but the restaurant was empty, the windows overlooking that Maggie pond (which seemed murky and devoid of life) were dirty, and that empty banquet room off of the main dining room had chairs and tables stacked all over the place - looked terrible! The food was okay, the cosmos tasted "flat", and the atmosphere was ???? We will stick with Blue! More...

My original review of Sauce on the Maggie was three stars. I've seen some improvement in the subsequent times I've visited the restaurant so am boosting the rating to four stars. The food has been consistently good as I've returned and the service is better. We still are quite surprised they don't have bread and olive oil, which is standard at most Italian restaurants.
