Great class-puppies were so much better behaved by the end of the class, our puppy has much nicer manners than when we started! Highly recommend!

"If you see me walking down the street ... walk on by..." We never imagined that our COVID pup, Annie, could do such a thing. However for one month this past summer she boarded and trained at All Breed. During that time, Annie learned to heel, sit, and stay, and to "leave it" on command. Her trainers also identified the cause of her fierce response when approached by another canine. Voila! She had been traumatized a year earlier when she was attacked by, and contracted an infection from, our neighbor's dog. All Breed provided the careful exposure and training to rid her of her fear. While the decision to leave "our girl" in someone else's care was extremely difficult, we could not be more pleased and relieved by the results her trainers achieved. Each day, other dog owners "walk on by" and remark, "Wow! I wish my dog could behave THAT way." We are two very proud parents, and have never regretted our investment in Annie's training. We highly recommend All Breed as THE place to turn to when you seek the finest for your "best friend!" More...

Holly, Sharon and Laura are so knowledgeable, patient and caring about the owner and the dogs I truly appreciate all of their help in training my Cavalier Henry with his obedience and hoping to start rally very soon!

Most places around Des Moines want twice the price to board and train your dog in a week or two. Holly works with you FOR A YEAR, training YOU and your dog how to work together. So many of the problems my dog had were mistakes I made due to inexperience owning a dog. Holly is slowly training me (despite how stubborn I can be) to be a better dog owner, and I feel confident that if I got another dog I would be able to train it after going to this class. My dog, Scout, is night and day to what she was a year ago. This 20 lb dog used to yank me down the road and nearly choke herself out on her collar, now she will stop at a single verbal command and stay. If you have a new puppy, or even a stubborn four year old like me, give Holly a call. Their new website is pretty nifty too! If you sign up using a google account, it will add the classes to your calendar so it pings your phone and watch! More...

We are so satisfied with the training of our 1 y.o. GSD. He came from a home of 5 young children and was kenneled often, with no direction or correction. We adopted him at 6.5 months and simply couldn't break his old bad habits on our own. He is so hyper and we just needed a starting point for us to be able to manage him around children, other dogs, and various distractions. He spent 10 days with Laura (and Holly) for board and train and we couldn't be happier. He is more attentive, listens better, and is learning to respect his mom, dad, and sisters. He can now "down" and "stay" for very long periods of time. He can walk on a leash and "heel" without jumping around, screaming, and chasing after everything that moves. We couldn't have gotten to this point without Laura and Holly. It was worth every penny! More...

We are thrilled by the results we have seen with Holly and her team. We previously tried one of those 6/8 week classes and needed better. When searching for dog training, we saw the videos from classes of the dogs not chasing after toys and obeying their "stay" commands and thought "that could never be our dog". We were wrong; our dog can now do/obey so many more commands than we had imagined she would (sit, stay, down, recall, etc). We started to see results after just the first couple classes. Our dog is now CGC/CGCA certified! These classes are for all types of dogs and owner motivation levels. Whether you want to show your dog in competitions or whether you just want your dog to be a great companion, Holly's knowledge and experience will get you where you want to be! More...

We have had an amazing experience with Holly and her experienced training staff. The training our puppy received has developed her into the perfect family pet. My 11year old daughter has been the primary trainer and Holly has really taken her under her wing. She taught her everything she needs to know about training and how to take her to the next level soon through Rally and 4H. More...

Highly Recommend! I started Finley’s training with a different trainer when she was about 16 weeks old. After 5 weeks of training and not learning much, I knew it wasn’t working. I read reviews for many different dog trainers and always asked myself if the next one would be better? Investing the money in training was never the issue, however paying for something that doesn’t work is hard. I attended the trial class at All Breed Dog Obedience and 20 minutes in, knew it would work because I was able to see a difference in Finley. Instead of barking the whole class, like in the past, she was fit with a corrective collar and was taught barking was not always acceptable. I not only signed up for the year of classes, but also a week of board and train with Holly to catch her up! Talk about a difference at the end of the week! Holly and her team all worked with Finley and I was returned a puppy who no longer pulled during walks! She could also heel, sit, lay, long stay (sit and lay), leave it and more. 2 months later, we now have our CGC and CGCA titles and can’t wait to continue our training with All Dog Breeds Obedience. Dallas and I have had a great past few weeks. With the help of All Breed Dog Obedience Training and specifically Holly, Dallas passed his CGC, CGA, CGCU, and his novice trick dog title (4/4)! The hours put into the class really prepared us to pass each test without a doubt. Regardless of age (human or dog), All Breed Dog Obedience does a terrific job of catering to your needs to take your dog to another level of obedience. I love having a pup that doesn’t need a leash because all he would need is a verbal correction from me! Thank you All Breed Dog Obedience! More...

Q&As

Teaching people how to train their dogs, and watching them succeed is priceless. Watching a dog/handler team work from unruly behavior to working off leash on a word command, with no collar, is very fulfilling.

My family has been helping clients train their dogs for 70 years. I started training dogs when I was 9 years old, it is my life long passion to train and show dogs. I have competed all over the world, 45 countries, in dog sports with my own dogs. I handled one of the two dogs in the Guinness Book of Records, she is the "Greatest International Winning Dog in the World", 67 Championships on 5 continents.

My goal for each of my clients is to have harmony with their dog, through training the bond increases infinitely. A trained dog loves and respects the owner more than an untrained dog. I help teach you how to train your dog to work within the boundaries you choose.

We are available any day of the week to speak with you about problems or issues you are having with your dogs when you are a client.
