I had Caitlin and Melissa as my hair and make up team. They are so friendly and talented! They were punctual and quick but it didn't feel rushed and myself and all my bridesmaids loved our looks! There have been times where I have had my hair and makeup done and haven't felt like myself and this was not the case with Caitlin and Melissa. I hired Alison Harper & Co. to take care of my bridal party’s hair and makeup needs for my August 2018 wedding at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House .I'm docking off a star because, when I initially contacted Alison’s team and read through the offerings, I noticed that the partner stylists were less expensive, but, quoting her website, were “trained and capable.” Great! Not so great. In retrospect, I should have asked what “trained and capable” really meant, because after coming in for a trial and leaving really disappointed, particularly with my hair, I chose to upgrade to the pro stylists. I think that it wasn’t made very clear to me in the booking process that the partner stylists weren’t as comfortable doing updos or working on the hair of girls with shoulder length/shorter hair like me. I wish I would have known that from the start and saved myself the cost of the first trial and the disappointment. Oh well, c’est la vie!Regardless, once I decided to upgrade to the pro stylists (more $$$, but worth it for guaranteed excellence on your wedding day!), I was much happier. My second trail with the pro ladies Morelia (hair) & Melissa (makeup) went awesome! I also had a second pro hair stylist join my party for the actual wedding day.On the day of the wedding, the girls showed up on time and were so polite, professional and downright fun to be around all morning long. Everyone looked lovely, and Melissa even took special care to do makeup for my sister with special needs — my sister felt so special and that was so important to me and my family.In the end, I would recommend Alison and her team with one caveat — know that if you want to be sure that your look will come out perfect on your big day, you should just ask for pro level stylists right from the start. Don’t take the gamble and hire the partners. It’s worth it on your big day to just pay the higher bill for the pros and feel certain that you will look fabulous.Morelia & Melissa — ya’ll rock! I found this company on wedding wire and went with them because they were really personable and friendly over emails. I just did my trial with them and the makeup artist and hair stylist I worked with were extremely nice. They both took their time to make sure everything was perfect and they had me laughing the whole time. They made me feel really special like I was their only client. They did a beautiful job and I feel like this is one aspect of my wedding I won't have to stress about. More...
