This year was our second year in a roll going to Alisa for our (recently decided) annual family portraits, and boy let me tell you, SHE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Our first year my daughters were so fussy and not having it but Alisa STILL managed to get some beautiful shots. This year, they’re a year older and soooo much more playful but still only interested in smiling and posing for so long, and Alisa got some amazing shots AGAIN! She’s very attentive, welcoming, and if I didn’t know any better I’d think she was family because that’s how she makes you feel, like we’re all family. I’m grateful for such an awesome photographer who takes your vision and makes them reality with such wonderful photos. She replies to every message no matter how neurotic they can be (I’m an over planner). And did I mention that once she sends you your pictures that you can order prints and canvases, and books, etc right there!! How much more convenient can it get ! She even gives you advice on how to organize everything so that you don’t go crazy leading up to picture day lol. I can say so much more, but I’ll let you all find out for yourselves. I was surprised at how quickly Alisa was able to do our session this time and still get great results. Her experience shows! This year marks the third time my family has had our pictures done by her, but we started about 6 years ago when she was still practicing. We've had wonderful pictures every time, but each time our session gets more quick and efficient. She knows just what to say to make us laugh or get us to interact in ways that are candid and lovely. Alisa did such an amazing job on our family photos. She did not disappoint!! I thought for sure she would not have any good ones of my 2 year old. I am positive he was never looking at the camera. But she was able to catch him and all his cuteness. In fact, all of my kids looked pretty cute in all the photos. Even though a large part of that was because they have good looking parents Alisa was able to capture their personalities in the photos as well. We absolutely love every single photo. To start off, Alisa was very sweet, kind, and patient. She has great communication, and was able to go into great details on the photo shoot. Alisa has taken our family photos the last 2 Years. This year, as our daughter, 22 Months, wasn’t too interested in smiling for the camera, I was worried I wouldn’t be happy with the pictures. We've hired Alisa to take our family pictures perhaps 5 different times or more. She's excellent. She's quick and her photo edits are great. For the last couple years, she's the only person we've used. With 5 kids, it takes a special talent to get a good portrait. Loved how all of our pictures turned out. Alisa was a very patient photographer as she worked with my kids, who are just at the right age to not like posing and getting their pictures done (maybe that is age 0-18? Not only is Alisa really great to work with – even and especially with kids – but her work is also stunning! Couldn't be happier with the pictures she took of my family four years ago at Christmas time and again last spring. She's accommodating of my wishes and ideas, but I'm also comfortable letting her call the shots. She knows what she's doing! We had family photos done by Alisa, including our dog! We absolutely love her work! The images came out beautiful. She was easy to work with (kids, adults and pet. ) It was easy to get poses that were just the right amount of posing without looking unnatural. We did our shoot outside. She was courteous and thoughtful, she found a lovely location for us and was knowledgeable about where, when and even had tips on attire that proved beneficial. I even love that she had a photo that was not quite clear (a spontaneous action photo of my young daughter) that she included on our CD of photos. Though it is not "perfect" it captured my daughter's youth and it's one of my favorite photos hanging up at home. I appreciate that she included it as a Momento and didn't toss it because it wasn't perfect. She has an eye for such precious moments and I would definitely recommend her as a photographer. More...
