Ali baba Mediterranean cuisine

We really like Ali Baba. I'm a fan of Indian food. Hummus is outstanding. My personal favorite is the beef & chicken kabobs. Very good service. Recommend.

Once in awhile I have a craving for Mediterranean food but not at this moment. We are going to celebrate a birthday and it was suggested to try this place. I was very hesitant. Love the bread here. Mostly go here for the amazing fresh bread. The hummus was not as good as it used to be. Their family platter is a great deal but they have definitely reduced the quantity of meat in the platter ( much less beef shwarema and chicken strips in platter of 4 than our past visits). Best Mediterranean cuisine in Escondido and in San Diego the food is always fresh and the flavor is always very good the french fries are a definite try I was tired and got home late from work ordered a falafel sandwich with french fries and it was under eight bucks can't beat that for great fresh food!

The lamb, beef, and chicken kabob trio plate is more than one person can eat, so plan on taking some home. I'm not sure if they changed their chef or what happened but the quality of their food has gotten so much better then the first time I ordered from here. The beef kabob is so juicy and the rice is cooked to perfection and has a beautiful yellow safron color. The falafel is a good choice as well and so is the chicken Tikka masala. They also serve really good tahini sauce and cucumber yogurt dip and the women that work there are always friendly and the place is always sparkling clean and the inside is decorated very nicely. We were visiting from out of town and found this restaurant in our Entertainment Book. I was skeptical. However we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent and attentive servers; incredible well seasoned fresh food (we had chicken and vegetarian combos). Portion sizes  were very large and fresh baked, Mediterranean bread was also excellent.
