This is one of the best meals I've ever had in Hyannis. My wife and I took my mother here for her birthday dinner and all of us absolutely loved it. Our server, Armin gave us a world class dining experience. Best service I've seen at a restaurant in years. He enthusiastically welcomed us and remained attentive and cordial the entire time. We ordered a glass of Tuscan blend red wine, Aperol Spritz, virgin blueberry lemonade, Truffle Gnocchi, chicken picota, chicken parmigiana, and chicken vodka pasta, all of which were incredibly delicious. After we finished our entrees, Armin brought out a surprise birthday desert (also outstanding) for the 3 of us to split. Had a late night reservation for the last day of our vacation and was pleasantly surprised after just having Italian the night before. The waiting staff was all very nice, accommodating, and friendly. My only complaint was that our food took a bit to come out but our party had ordered 3 of the same dish so we can give them a pass. The Chicken Ala Vodka was great, and they had freshly shredded parmesan cheese brought out by the waiting staff. The menu was fairly large and yet somewhat confusing, we ordered cheesy garlic bread and meatballs for appetizers and were satisfied with both!(no pictures) The garlic bread was amazing, and there were only 2 meatballs for 12$ which was slightly disappointing but still good nonetheless. The restaurant is huge and the vibes all around were very good. There was outside seating and it was fairly crowded even with our reservation being at 8 pm. Alberto's is a family favorite when we are on the Cape. Atmosphere is lovely. The Zuppa de Pesce is scrumptious. Fellow diners loved the clam chowder as well. My sister and I had scallops and shrimp served over a bed of sautéed spinach. We both loved our meals. Fellow diners enjoyed chicken Piccata and both the veal and chicken zingarella. Do not come here if you have a Cape Cod daily deal--they will rip you off. I came with my deal, which was a $25 gift card. The fine print said I needed to order two entrees, but I explained that I was alone to the front manager and asked if that would be ok. He said that they would give me $12.50 off my entree that night and another $12.50 gift card for the future. I agreed, ordered my food, and at the end of the meal was told by my server that it was not possible to do that--that the front manager "used to own the restaurant but doesn't anymore and doesn't know what he's talking about." He gave me face value--$12.50 off the order, so I essentially bought a "coupon" that did nothing. I paid full price for a meal I was only having because I had the coupon. This is incredibly bad behavior. I felt like I had been tricked. I will not be returning and will make sure people know that they do this sort of thing. More...

Alberto's is one of the few Italian gems on Cape Cod. Location is perfect, right on Main Street in Hyannis with a backside entrance. This makes it extra convenient because you can park in the large lot behind without fighting for parking. They take reservations, which we always make, but even on busy nights, they always tend to get you in quickly. Atmosphere is lovely and perfect for family gatherings. We most often come with a party of 8 and request the large round table. We love it. Service is always impeccable and food is always quick and deliciously prepared. Some of our favorites: Fried Calamari Truffle Gnocchi Caesar Salad We also like the Bruschetta appetizer and many of our family members always get the filet. Our server was Armino/Amino(?) or similar to that. He was so kind and helpful, he even put everything down to come take a photo of us for me. Thanks for a very poor New Years Eve experience. Firstly, if you take reservations, make sure you don't overload yourself. We had a reservation and were seated nearly 45 minutes late. People with later times were being seated before us. Waited patiently, but when I finally complained we were, coincidentally, seated. Of 4 dinners, 2 entrees were over cooked (and dry duck just isn't edible) and one was near cold. The server was great, but couldn't make up for everything else. we booked a reservation just a few hours beforehand for our saturday evening dinner at 7pm. the restaurant is big, busy, and packed to the brim. when we arrived, we waited about 15 minutes before being seated. a lady came by our booth and pour us some water. we later found out the same person was suppose to give us the bread. other tables around us were given bread. i asked three times after our soup and apps came with no success. we ordered a couple cocktails, clam chowder soup, seafood platter, orvietta, and lobster ravioli. the cocktails were served first. the soup came out then the seafood platter. by this time we have been asking for the house bread for the third time from four different people - nothing. our soup and app was almost finished, house bread came out. shortly after the entrees were served. the shrimp and scallop orveitto was a little over cooked. the flavor is good. the gnocchi was ok. the lobster ravioli was ok. octopus ink was used but not described in the menu. parking is free in the back f the restaurant. We came in for a late lunch 9/22....OH EM GEE...pasta was flavorless and overcooked. I couldn't believe an Italian restaurant would do this. Maybe 50 years ago this place was ok but not anymore. My husband had to ask for extra Parmesan and olive oil so he could flavor his pasta himself. I just didn't eat. Pizza was literally cheese bread. Waiter didn't explain anything on the menu....i had to go get my own high chair and set it up. Honestly....this place...how do I put it... Came here on a weekday night and it was packed! We waited over an hour for our food and we did have reservations. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to visit. We got the pappardelle and seafood alfredo. The seafood alfredo was absolutely delicious. So rich, creamy, and you can really taste the seafood in the sauce. The pappardelle was kind of a let down. The noodles were a bit dry and they didn't absorb the sauce very well. I got asparagus on the side and it was a pretty small serving. I was intrigued by Alberto's a few times we walked by on Main St, their lovely patio from which a delicious garlic/Italian smell emanated seemed too good to be true. I knew there was a catch. Was it a tourist trap? I would have to look into it later... We were actually craving Mexican and attempted to patronized one of the restaurants further down the street but we kept striking out. Alberto's had a reservation in 15 min later so I figured it was time to see whether it was the real deal. Spoiler alert: it is. The service was excellent from the host to the person clearing our plates. Everyone was on top of their shit and we didn't have to wait for anything. Firstly, the complimentary olives, oil, and bread they give you at the start of the meal is even good. Those olives were DELICIOUS. Nothing from the drink menu whispered my name and sangria is usually a safe choice so I went with the red sangria. GF, still thinking of Mexican, ordered the Barn Burner with pomegranate juice, tequila, lime juice, and sour mix. In all honesty, if I had a cat, they could make sangria better than this one. It wasn't my bag and I couldn't drink it. Fortunately, GF didn't mind it and we traded. Her Barn Burner wasn't the greatest drink I've ever had in my life but it was doable. We both ordered salads to start. After some serious deliberation, I settled on the Spinach Salad with baby spinach, toasted pecans, goat cheese, sun dried cherries, and a raspberry vinaigrette. I was hesitant to have a sweet salad to start but this was refreshing and the combo of the berry vinaigrette went very well with the creamy goat cheese. This was an excellent salad. GF ordered the Caesar salad which I was pleased to discover did not have a strong fishy taste. The romaine was fresh and crisp. I noticed she was specifically hunting down the croutons which indicates her opinion on that. For our mains, I ordered the classic eggplant Parmesan. I was disappointed to see the limited number of vegetarian options as entrees, the only other option was a papardelle which was homemade in a tomato garlic and oil sauce. The eggplant was absolutely slathered in melty mozzarella cheese. I am more acccustomed to eating this with spaghetti but they serve this with penne in a tasty tomato sauce and a few large broccoli florets which was a nice touch. GF ordered the seafood fra Diablo with mussels, clams, and calamari. Once she had her way with the seafood portion, she quickly ran out of space and I was happy to come up from behind and scoop up the rest of her spaghetti. I have never had this dish before and holy fucking shit it is INCREDIBLE. I not only shoveled a far portion of her noodles up but polished off the rest of the bread by soaking up that delicious sauce. Heaven. Came here for a wedding so the review is more for vibes and less for food (I don't think it's fair to judge them on buffet style food that isn't their menu). But the space was really adorable. A nice dance floor, lots of light, and plenty of space for around 50 guests. We were here with our tour group for dinner, and this place was talked up by our tour guide. We had a limited menu and ordered wine (very expensive for small pours). My beef short rib entree was fine but my wife was disappointed by her baked scrod entree (several other of our tour were disappointed as well), especially based on the description. Perhaps their a la carte menu options are better. A peek at their website shows that prices are pretty high, so know that going in. I loved Alberto's. They have a large restaurant, and getting a reservation was easy. We started with a Caesar salad and a soup of the day, which was a minestrone. Both were very good, especially the soup. For our mains, I had the Sinatra pasta, and we also had the pappardelle pasta.
