If you are looking for a customized entertainment experience for you and your party guests, Alan is a perfect choice for a lighthearted and amusing show! We had him perform during the dinner hour at our wedding reception and he was a hit! Several guests asked us for his contact info afterwards and have booked him for their holiday parties. I engaged Alan Leeds to perform magic at my father's 100th birthday party which was held in my parent's backyard. Throughout my whole experience of working with Alan - I found him to be professional, flexible, and easy to work with. Alan helped in the planning of his role in the party - suggesting that he mingle and perform 'small tricks' with the partygoers as they arrived (this worked out wonderfully). Later in the party, Alan delivered a magic show that enthralled all the guests. He had personalized the show by inquiring about the members of the family in advance of the event - to great effect. The show involved many of the family members while keeping focus on my father, the birthday boy, as well as on my mother. Alan engaged well with the audience in both the show and in the 'small', individual tricks. Alan has an easy, friendly, manner and uses humor to engage his audience Alan also proved flexible when the party deviated from the original plans and timing. How long have you been interested in magic?
I have been interested in and performing magic since I was in my teens. As an award-winning member of several magic organizations (IBM and SAM), I have honed my skills over the years. Many years back, I joined a group of magicians that meet weekly in the Bay Area to talk about ideas, work on skill development, and perform for charitable events. From these experiences, I made contact with people who desired my type of magic and by word of mouth I created a client base.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
I frequently do close up magic with the group prior to doing a stage show. I feel this personal contact relaxes the crowd so that by the time the stage show begins, they are excited to participate in the show. Customers include corporations such as Hulu, NY Life, Imgur Cisco, Bankers Life, restaurants such as Groveland Hotel, Morocco's and the Dynasty and fundraisers for Las Trampas, ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) and the A.C.T. (American Conservatory Theater).
What do you love most about your job?
Magic is a wonderful medium for meeting all kinds of people. It is fun to watch the reactions of someone when you do some magic in their own hands or right before their eyes. I thrive on the interaction with the audience and the knowledge that they are having a good time. For that brief moment in time, reality is behind them, out of sight, and the magic is all that is happening. To be able to stimulate that sense of wonder for someone else is what keeps me performing!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I enjoy working with clients to design and conduct inspiring, magical and memorable events for clients. By owning my business, I can make this happen.

I take pains to customize my entertainment for each client. That means working with you prior to the event to find out more about your event, and the guests attending. That way we can develop a theme for my magic entertainment and tie in entertaining and relevant information for your organization or group.
