My philosophy is that this is your personal space, and my role as your designer is to make sure it is suited to your taste and preferences. I enjoy working with any and all different styles of design and can appreciate the nuances of each distinct trait. I personally love design that is rooted in historic architecture and updated with modern elements, but again, I find all design styles fun, unique and interesting in their own way. I have had many different clients that all have varying design tastes and I revel in the challenge to cater each to the specific project.

Design is ever changing and as new products, ideas and implementations come into the mix, it is so much fun to be able to use and incorporate new ideas, while still keeping rooted in the principles and elements of design that are what make a well designed space successful. I love that each project is different and I thrive on working to figure out what will make the space sing for each of my clients.

My time spent working at some larger design firms gave me many skills that I have very graciously taken into starting my own business. My end goal was always to own my own design business and in taking that step, it has allowed me the flexibility to take on projects more catered to my specific design goals and desires, as well as being able to enjoy time with my family and the activities I like to do outside the office.

I am dedicated to excellence and my only goal it to make sure my clients are happy with the final product. While I do enjoy trends and my personal design style, I never push anything onto a client that they are not wanting. I am committed and through the good times and bad, I will always be there to the end to make sure the project is completed to everyone's expectations. I take my projects very personally and do my best to be the best that I can be for every client/project.

Yes, but it depends on the type of project whether this is the best for the client or not. Typically I like to have the personal connection of meeting on site and exploring the space together, but for many years I did do E-Design, so I am well versed in the process solely through email communication. Projects that are better suited for this type of format would be furnishings that can be ordered directly to the customer through online resources or lending ideas on remodel projects. The clients though need to have the expectation that implementation is all up to them and they would need to coordinate with local moving companies, drapery/art installers, etc. to be able to complete their project remotely. It gets tricky doing remodeling types of projects (kitchen, baths, etc.) because materials need to be seen in person and being in a space talking with your contractor and subs is critical to the project success, but it can and has been done.

When meeting in person, it is important to communicate and reschedule if anyone is questionable on their current health. As far as meeting in person, any necessary precautions can be made to accommodate either parties concerns. While meeting in person is typically more productive, online chat sessions or emails can usually suffice if needed to supplement.
