I love the soul home food felt like my mom or grandma ma was in the back of the kitchen cooking .. very clean and nice environment. Found out about this place by accident but was pleasantly surprised. In a Sunday parking in the back we plentiful. The staff was friendly and professional. I had the Cajun seasoned pan seared chicken breast which was delicious but I only ate half of it because I got full eating my mom's crispy on the outside flaky on the inside fried catfish. It as amazing. Sides were great, greens, yams, Mac and cheese (yes indeed!) and my mother loved the hot water corn bread. Needless to say, we'll be back again! More...

I came in Friday afternoon for a late lunch. There was only 1 other table dining in so we were seated quickly and advised to sit wherever. We ordered fried chicken, smothered chicken, & a smothered pork chop. The sides were the string beans, yams, smothered rice, & andouille sausage w/potatoes. I also added the hot water cornbread. We were advised everything was prepared to order so there'd be a small wait. I think we waited about 15mins, which wasn't bad for fresh meats. The food was fresh/hot & seasoned well too. What we didn't care for was the gravy on the smothered chops/chicken. It lacked something or was too thick. The potatoes were kick ass good! Fried chicken was bomb too! The server was pleasant and it's 5 mins from my home so I'm sure I'll drop back in from time to time. More...

The food was flavorful and I can't wait to try more on this menu. THEY HAVE KOOL-AID!!!! Every person had a smile and was extremely kind. I wish they would do breakfast but not yet. The one mistake I made was order two pieces of catfish. I was full at the first one, however I felt like it was straight up cheating to not eat the other one. Today we celebrated my aunts 60th birthday... The venue space here is great, well staffed and polite. The food was delish, I will definitely return to try the restaurant side. As for new venues this place has a separate bar in that area as well. We be returning to host an event as well.
