I thoroughly enjoyed working with Aja as my trauma recovery coach. Her patience and willingness to give me space and time to comprehend my experiences were invaluable. Before working with her, I wasn't even aware that my struggles stemmed from trauma. Aja adeptly broke down complex concepts and provided actionable steps for me to take. She emphasized the importance of self-trust, encouraging me to ask myself questions rather than relying solely on her guidance. I love see people heal and grow. In this process they find themselves and connect back to who they are. It's an honor and a privilege being able to be a part of that journey with them.

I had my own personal crisis that ultimately led me down to some major health challenges. Doctors kept telling me nothing was wrong but everything felt wrong in my body. Taking my healing into my own hands, I began to learn more about trauma and it's impacts on the body. Three plus years later I have healed my body and most of my trauma, though I believe healing is a lifestyle and there is no finish line. This led me to desire to share education around trauma and wellness with others and help them to heal...because they can.

I don't just have education and training around trauma and wellness'; I've been down this road myself and have helped many others. This combination makes me uniquely capable of understanding my clients and what they are working through. it makes me have an empathy and compassion that I wouldn't necessarily have if I just learned about it but didn't experience it. I've also been told I have a calm spirit, an ability to see what needs to be addressed and a way of making things people don't understand so plain and clear so they can grasp it.

At this time, I do not provide services in person. While I aim to get to that point, I currently I only provide services online.

Services

Trauma is not merely about the events that transpire but rather how we navigate and process them. As Peter Levine aptly puts it, “trauma often arises from the intersection of fear and helplessness”. It’s an individual experience, as multiple people in the same situation may respond differently.

I view trauma as an acknowledgment that, at a certain point, we lacked the capacity to handle specific events or situations and lacked the necessary support to make sense of them and feel secure. How often have you found yourself in such a predicament?

As human beings, we possess incredible resilience to cope and adapt to our surroundings. Many coping strategies that served as literal life-savers at one point may eventually become hindrances to our growth and well-being.

In Trauma Recovery Coaching, our focus is on your present and future. Throughout this process, you’ll gain awareness of how trauma may impact your goals, and together, we’ll work through it. The aim is to empower you with choices for moving forward, breaking free from unconscious responses that may have held you captive.

Trauma Recovery Coaching is:

Peer to Peer: We are equals. I don’t wield authority over you, and you don’t default to my recommendations. Together, we identify and address your needs.

Client-led: This is a collaborative effort. We embark on this journey at a pace comfortable for you. I seek your consent before suggesting areas to explore, honoring your needs and desires in the process.

Unable to diagnose: I won’t label you. Instead, I’ll share my observations, and it’s your right to confirm or correct them. Your responses are valid within the context of your experiences.

A safe space: Our coaching container is a sanctuary where you can express yourself fully. My commitment is to see, hear, and understand you without judgment. You deserve a place to shed the masks and guards.

Life is a journey, that's for sure, and sometimes we need a guide, support and possibly more. I offer to be that support when someone is seeking more than they internally have to support themselves. On this journey I help them look within to find the belief and knowing that they have the tools to go towards what they're desiring...and to get it!
