Being a student and having the opportunity to teach some of the younger participants here, I can say say with confidence that this dojo is THE best place to learn quality Aikido from an amazing Sensei. I get to train with an amazing group of people and highly recommend this dojo for adults and kids who are interested in learning about Aikido! More...

Aikido Queens has been a remarkable boost to our daughter’s social, emotional and physical well being. Her self esteem, sense of purpose and centeredness has improved greatly. Her ability to Pay attention to detail, listen for instructions, team work and not giving up are exercised in every class. Sensei is knowledgeable, firm and creates a nurturing space for learning while upholding high expectations and goals for participants and families alike. Just wish we would of signed up our older girls. No trophies , monthly competitions or hoopla. Just good ol’ resilience and small efforts drilled on the daily. Kudos More...

This place is phenomenal both for children and adults. I've been attending this school since I was 10 and it's given me the confidence to stand up against people who bullied me. Not only that but it's given me a whole new perspective on life and self discipline. The sensei here only has your best interests at heart and he doesn't sugar coat anything. He tells you everything like it is, good or bad, and he'll give you sound advice for what you need to do for improvement. I've seen and experienced a few other dojo's and I can say with confidence this place is unique. They don't participate in any tournements or competitions and promotions are based solely on merit. Everyone has an equal chance and they all start at the same level.I recommend this place for anyone with children, or for themselves. It's a great place for people who are looking to get fit and learn practical self defense. More...
