AFT Dog Training

I cannot recommend AFT enough. My dog has had aggression and behavior problems since she was about a year old. We did positive only obedience class, had her checked out by two “behavior specialists” and did a nose work class per their recommendation. Her aggression, growling at us at home, growling at other dogs, food possessiveness etc only got worse. I was ready to accept this was my dog (at 4 years old) and give up but had been following AFT on social media for about a year watching Anthony’s videos when I finally figured why not try one last training. We did private sessions with Anthony and some with Camille and we learned so much about us, our dog, and the relationship we needed to rebuild with her. We followed every recommendation and did our “homework” each week and saw our dog transform. We are now the leaders in our home and my dog is visibly more relaxed because she has faith in us. I can take bones from her, I can let her be off leash with my free ranging chickens, I can put her in “place” command at any time and she will stay until released. We have a new dog. I am forever grateful for the knowledge we have learned as I know without a doubt I will be doing this training with all of my future dogs from day one. If you are looking for effective dog training then AFT is your place! Anthony and Camille have been a phenomenal resource for us and our dog. We didn’t necessarily start with a “difficult” dog but this training has been worth every penny. We sought out private training because we own a lot of property and wanted to be able to give our dog freedom on that property (while still ensuring we had control and could trust him). What we got was so much more. This training has taught us effective tools to better our relationship with our dog, give our dog freedom and just overall has been a game changer. The trainers are effective and accommodating to your needs. You also become part of a great community of dog owners who truly love and care for their dogs. I will recommend AFT again and again! Let me start by saying that I was nothing less than extremely hesitant to bring my dog here. I love her more than anything and the idea of using "aversive training methods" broke my heart. After back and forth conversation with AFT, I decided to at least do a consultation and go from there. At our consultation, Anthony talked to us about his passion for rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and giving them a second chance at life. After we spoke with him, we knew that we would be happy there. We opted for private training because we wanted to be involved every step of the process. We chose tools that worked for our dog, not for us. Camille worked with our dog to determine what level she needed for her ecollar (it's a 5 by the way, out of 100.) Anthony constantly supported us and encouraged us to do extra training with our dog and she thrives for it. We went there with a dog that was scared of every person and didn't know where she ranked in our hierarchy to a dog that has so much confidence. She loves to perform tricks for people she doesn't know now as it gives her confidence and less fear. We can walk her in a heel without her leash and let her loose in the yard and know that she'll come back. Anthony and Camille saved our dog from her eventually anxiety attack she was bound to have and built an even stronger relationship for us with her. If you fear aversive training methods like I did, take the time to visit and have a consultation. We adopted a 3 year old German Shepherd with severe anxiety and reactivity issues. upon bringing him home, he attempted to attack people out of fear. We were terrified of letting him around people, and the only command he knew was "paw". we consulted with AFT, and decided to proceed with Private Sessions. best money we ever spent. through the use of a remote collar, prong collar, and confidence building commands (and critical commands like come, sit, down, place, etc) Taz has been completely transformed. He is a loving, comfortable dog that is great around both the people he previously reacted negatively to and children in the family. He makes family members' dogs that have been raised from puppies look completely untrained (it is actually sort of humorous to us). He loves car rides and I take him everywhere with me on errands. Absolutely recommend Anthony and his team. They clearly have the knowledge and skills to handle challenging cases, and their love of dogs and what they do is very apparent. More...

AFT has been invaluable to our sweet Lily and our family. Upon her rescue she was fearful and distant due to having been feral. Because of the training she received she has more confidence and therefore has become affectionate and trusting. She is able to run freely with our other rescue-getting much needed exercise. She is no longer fearful of approaching us and actually come looking for snuggles. We continue to work with her with the tools Anthony provided for us and are confident that Lily will have a long and happy life here. More...
