One year ago today we were married and all of our guest are still talking about our caterers. Not only was our dinner menu perfectly executed, our cake was perfect. Brenda was a joy to work with from our tasting as well as the wedding itself. Her and her staff were wonderful not a face without a smile on it the entire time. Brenda herself was hands on the entire day even serving all our guest their drinks all throughout the evening. To top it all off she didn't want us to have to eat a cake that was frozen for a year on our anniversary that she offered to make us a replica of our top tier and even on short notice we are picking that up today on our actual anniversary to make the day once again special for us. Hats off to Brenda and her team we will be passing your name on to anyone that asks us who would we use because hands down we could have never imagined getting this kind of food and service at a very affordable price. We were beyond happy with Affordable Elegance. They were amazing!! They went out of their way to make sure the day was perfect. The reception venue would not allow us to drop off cheese/fruit trays the morning of our wedding because they did not have anywhere to store them until that evening. Affordable Elegance brought the trays down for us and it was ready to go when cocktail hour started. They were so easy and friendly to work with. They service at the reception was professional and everything went smoothly. They served over 350 people at our wedding and everyone had plenty of food! Words cannot even begin to express my gratitude after having Dee Dee, Greg, Camie and team cater our wedding. From the very beginning Dee Dee was amazing and made us feel very at ease. Dee Dee and Camie, were both so friendly every time I had a request and or question. They were both fantastic to work with! My family and my husband's family are both out of town, but Dee Dee and Camie were always flexible when we had adjustments and/or questions. I had experience in catering before and definitely had a vision for our wedding day. Not only did Dee Dee, Greg and team exceed our expectations but everyone that attended our event talked about the food for weeks after our wedding. The two plates that I heard the most about, was the Prime Rib and the Baked Halibut. GREG...fantastic! The food was sensational! We even had special catfish bites offered within our cocktail hour that was amazing!!!! I did not get to eat much at our cocktail hour and had only a few bites here and there but all guests could not believe how incredible it was. My one regret, was not asking for a sampling of all our passed hors' doeurves on a plate to be at our sweetheart table at the beginning of our reception. The room looked amazing at Powell Gardens as well, as that was all Affordable Elegance's responsibility. I could not have asked for a better team to have celebrated our wedding with us! They were extremely professional both in assisting with us creating our perfect menu and during the reception. All of the staff at Affordable Elegance were great to work with throughout the process of wedding planning and the wedding day itself. They were attentive, respectful, and accommodating. Just wanted to say a big “Thank You” for the catering you did for Kristi and Brian’s wedding reception last weekend! Everything was so very nice and we do appreciate all your suggestions and help in making the reception so enjoyable for everyone. We have gotten so many comments on how well organized everything was. Tom and the rest of the wait staff did a wonderful job making sure our guests were taken care of - water glasses were full, tables were cleared when finished eating, and generally, just making sure attention was taken to even the smallest details. Our guests commented on how they liked the appetizers while waiting for the bride and groom, and having the salad at each place setting so they felt like they weren’t just sitting around waiting for their turn in the buffet line. Well you did it. You knocked the socks off of every guest and exceeded all our expectations. The food was spectacular and even better was that EVERYONE loved it and we got to share in that happiness. I could cry thingking about how special you allowed our guests to fell and I want you to know that we can never thank you enough. Greg, I told my photographer that I wanted to get a picture with you but unfortunately we missed the opportunity. Please know that I was so extremely happy with the way things turned out that you will be receiving a large bear hug the first chance we get to your Sunday brunch (which will be soon after the honeymoon!) The wedding is over now but I just wanted to say thank you for being such a pleasure to work with. Even with quite a few no shows we still only had a little bit of food left over at the end of the night. I think that's a nod to how good everything was! The serving staff was great as well. I was concerned that we may have a ton of cake to take home, but there were only 6 cupcakes left by the end. (I think quite a few guests had more than one). My parents and I promptly ate the rest of those the next day and I am savoring the last of my yummy wedding cake. My dad told me that he got so many compliments on the food and I even caught a boy I used to baby sit going back up for thirds! I actually went back to my parents house the other night and we had an awesome dinner with the leftovers that we did have. I LOVE those mashed potatoes. Seriously, I could make a meal of just them. I also wanted to say thanks for the bottle of wine. That was sweet and we plan on opening that up here soon. I wish you continued success in the future.
