9/24/17 - after another phone call and email with Mr Green, a refund and apology were given to me.9/20 - still no response from store towards a resolution! !!Can't seem to respond to your response, but there were no black balloons in the order, don't know who your staff bought these for, but they did not end up in my order, so no, not adequate. Again as I stated this morning, the fault is not mine that YOUR answering service did not do their job appropriately. Trying to pretend you solved this online to make your reviews better is infuriating! Please handle this in the real world. See below for initial complaint and response: I had a 19 minute phone call with an employee yesterday about an order of balloons for my brother’s birthday today. I even had a follow up phone call 2 hours later from them stating they needed to make a change to Mylar balloons and we again went over the theme/colors I wanted. My brother sent a picture of the balloons I sent him and they were not at all what I ordered! I called the store and the lady who answered today stated that my order from yesterday had no notes about what I asked for, that they don’t even have what I asked for, and offered no refund. The only thing she offered was sending someone back to my brother’s work place to take the balloons away. I will try again tomorrow to get a refund, but definitely want to caution people from using this place. What a waste of money!Response from the owner an hour agoHi Jill, as we discussed this morning, your order was placed after hours by our answering service. Our answering service is NOT familiar with our product line. We do not carry the balloons you ordered as they were specialty balloons. Being a family owned business we try to be as accommodating as possible knowing how important this occasion was to you. My staff went out and purchased the Black Balloons you requested and obviously they were not what you envisioned and we apologize for for not knowing exactly what kind of balloons you wanted. The arrangement is very beautiful and the flowers very fragrant. The roses are wide open as opposed to tight and compact but everything is very fragrant and the same size as described online. I would order from them again. My only complaint is the vase that was in the photo online below is different than the vase I got. I wish they would have called me to let me know because the vase of the website photo is why I got it...beautiful. The vase I got is nice but not nearly as ornate...a bit pedestrian. I recently ordered flowers from here after having several poor experiences with other florists including 1800flowers. I ordered a bouquet of yellow roses; they were not available, so the florist called and suggested other options. They were for my wife's birthday for delivery at her office; they asked me when she leaves to make sure they would be delivered before she left for the day. My recent order from Ace was my first, but it won't be my last. They delivered flowers for a funeral yesterday, and they were absolutely gorgeous, way beyond my expectations. Many people commented on how lovely they were. I had ordered the Heavenly Grace Spray, two of them, and asked if the orientation could be flipped on one of them so that the sprays could flank the doors to the nave. They said yes, no problem, and they also suggested that they tone down the pink a little since the service was for a male (great idea, and I was surprised and pleased they offered that). Those turned out so lovely. I also had ordered the Loving Farewell Photo tribute but told them that we would like to put our urn in the middle (meaning they should not include the photo frames). Those were perfect, and beautiful. And finally, the Sweet Tranquility basket for the greeting table. It was so full and gorgeous - couldn't have been better. I ordered the 'premium' version of the arrangements and I would recommend anyone do the same. For $20 more or so, you will not be disappointed. And finally, the guy who delivered the flowers was quick to get them in the foyer and set up where we wanted them. I have been looking for a while for a good florist in the Houston area, and I have finally found it in Ace Flowers! I spoke on the phone with the staff to make sure that no substitutions would be made for the arrangement I chose, and they reassured me. I set up the order online, and not only did I receive my order confirmation but also a delivery confirmation, which I never got with previous florists! And the FLOWERS! I chose a premium bouquet of roses, and my aunt loved them and is inviting all her neighbors to come see them! I received photos, and the arrangement was gorgeous. The awesome young lady who delivered my wife’s birthday flowers was simply that: Awesome! The building guard wouldn’t let her leave the flowers when he couldn’t reach my wife, but through awesomeness and perseverance, she adapted and overcame - and allowed a coworker to sign for them so they wouldn’t have to arrive after her birthday!
