I love working out with Tamika! She focuses on form and as a kinesiologist this is very important to me. I've dropped inches and a lot of people have noticed which has boosted my confidence. I am stronger, faster and I have more stamina. And I'm just getting addicted!!! More...

Let me start by saying that when you are ready to make your goals a reality Tamika is your girl. I've been provided with around the clock nutrition information as well as everything about proper form and what to eat pre and post workout. I trained with Tamika a few years back. Tamika is knowledgeable as a trainer, smart and insightful. She always seems to know exactly how far to push you past what you think you can do without overwhelming you. She emphasizes correct form to prevent injury, and wants to help make strength a long-term commitment for her clients, not just some quick fix to get a beach bod before summer.

I truly enjoyed training with Tamika and the results. Most of what I know to do in the gym I owe to her.

Tameka is an amazing personal trainer. I deeply appreciate the training she's brought me through so that I can do my crazy marketing stunts for my business, and stay fit and healthy while I'm at it! Whether jumping stilts, mountain unicycle riding, or 36" The Big One Coker Unicycle riding all around Merced, Tameka's training is why my body doesn't break down doing these stunts. Our clients achieve their goals from a balance between nutrition, cardiorespiratory fitness, and resistance training. Each phase of training requires a change in either food intake, timing, workouts, or cardio, but we make sure that we stagger our changes. This allows us to figure out how the client is losing weight or inches. If we begin to plateau a change is needed. We provide these changes through our app or in person with scheduled workouts and meal planning. This helps us keep our clients focused and exceeding their goals.

Perseverance. Training is about progress, not perfection, therefore one must persevere when training intensifies, sore muscles kick in, progress plateaus, dietary changes, and when mental roadblocks occur.

The best part of my job is that I have the opportunity to help people mentally and emotionally which leads to greater strength gains. The more I am able to understand my clients the more I am able to help them.

I started my own business because my clients wanted more flexibility with their programming which the gym I was working at would not allow. They also wanted me to train their children to help increase their sports performance. This is where I started and I am loving the journey.

Personal training is not a competition. If one of us does well, we all do well. However, the difference with Accelerate Performance is that we train the entire client. We build you from the bottom up making sure that we assist you in hitting your goals without creating any extra movement deficiencies. This means we take your movement, flexibility, stability, and fitness into account with each program we design. When clients train with Accelerate Performance they leave with improved performance and the knowledge that goes with it.
