Meeting with Ann for two hours was a game changer for us as dog owners and for our dog! She taught us the tools we needed to help our new addition, Bentley, succeed. She was incredibly responsive to my emails, very punctual for our scheduled appointment time, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. At the end of our session, both my husband and I were able to walk our dog hands free! That is something we couldn't have imagined doing two hours prior to our appointment. We highly recommend A Tail Above! More...

Ann has helped us better understand our dog. She is extremely patient, caring and takes a genuine personal interest in not only the training of dogs but the families too. She did amazing work with our stubborn pup! I would highly recommend A Tail Above not only for basic obedience, but also for the tough to train dog in your life. More...

Our boy Phin spent a couple of weeks with Ann for a board and train session. He came to us with some baggage (fearful of everyone and everything. I wish you could have seen him today! We were out for a walk and Phin met two young children (2 year old twins). What an incredible change in our boy from last year! The girls loved him and more importantly he loved the girls!!! More...

The most amazing people. They not only train the pups but also the humans. Their training was a necessity and snyone whether your an experience dog owner or a first timer should invest in them.

From one professional dog trainer to another, I can say that Ann and Rick's knowledge and expertise are second-to-none. For anybody needing dog training in Massachusetts I can honestly say that you are in good hands with these dog trainers.

Ann and RIck are wonderful, professional dog trainers. They offer a variety of training programs and not only train the dog for obedience, but then they show the owners how to control the dog and use the commands properly. They are a pleasure to work with and if you need help training your dog you should give them a call. More...

My husband and I love to walk on the beach and our dream was to be able to walk out dog Harper safely off leash. Today our dream became reality thanks to Ann & Rick! Harper was able to run free with other dogs, swim and chase birds. When she got too far a simple "let's go" let her know I wanted her back near me. She had an absolute blast and I felt confident that she was safe at all times. Ann & Rick are very passionate and caring trainers who continue to give support even after the training sessions are over. More...

I am amazed at how well behaved my dog is after a short time training at A Tail Above. The training and facility is the best I have ever seen. They care for the dogs as if they were their own and spend time teaching you how to insure that your dog continues being obedient after you return home. I find myself telling my friends and relatives that they need to have their (untrained) dog trained at A Tail Above. More...

I could not have found a better trainer to deal with. I had adopted a one year old Lab in March who had submissive behavior issues and a strong stubborn personality and NO command behavior. Ann's experience and one on one boot camp training has given my dog the confidence he needed to feel proud and secure about himself and the command training that was greatly needed. The facuilty is exceptional, very clean, very well organized and nicely equipped for exercise and training. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND A TAIL ABOVE TRAINING. Ann also post updates you everyday on Facebook with pictures and videos. More...

I am pleased to take this opportunity to write a review about A Tail Above Training. We were lucky enough to find Ann over 1. 5 years ago. I was pregnant and we had a Doberman puppy that we were having behavior issues with. Being at our whit’s end, we found Ann and are so happy we did! We opted for Ann’s residency program and she spent numerous hours after the program answering questions, providing solutions, brainstorming and providing unlimited resources for us. She helped “train” us and understand our dog’s behaviors and how we contributed to it while offering solutions. Upon bringing our new baby home, Ann was right there making sure our dog and baby had a proper introduction. I am happy to report that we have a well behaved dog and have no one to thank but Ann. She offers continuous learning sessions and refreshers for her clients. Ann has continually made herself available to her clients after initial training. We really can’t say enough good things about A Tail Above! More...

Whenever we get compliments on our dog's good behavior I always give credit to A Tail Above and to Ann. She has helped our shy timid dog (who was becoming increasing reactive) gain confidence and become less anxious. She has also helped our whole family become better dog owners. She's an experienced and very knowledgeable trainer. She always is willing to go the extra mile for her clients. Training sessions are always fun and positive. One of most valuable services they provide is support after the initial training program is over. Ann and Rick provide drop-in group polishing classes to help work on what you learned in training and to learn new things as well. Ann is always able to provide a new technique to try if we're having trouble with a particular command. They also do free group walks that are fun and a great way to train with distractions found in the real world. Our dog also loves Mr .Rick!I always refer friends and neighbors that are having problems with their dogs to A Tail Above. Actually I recommend them anyone who is interested in having a well-trained dog. More...

Anne is an amazing dog trainer. I rescued a large, energetic, headstrong Labrador who was almost uncontrollable. In ten minutes, she had him paying attention to her and following her directions, all with a firm, friendly manner. After his residential stay with her, he became a pleasure to walk on a leash. He learned to heel, stay, and, most importantly, not jump up on people. Anne was willing to work with me to schedule my dog's training around my work schedule.I worked with two other dog trainers with my other dogs and I can state unequivocally that Anne's training was the most effective training method of the three, the kindest to the dog, and easiest on the dog owner. Anne works in the best interests of both the dog and its owner. More...
