Whent to NBSM and received my hours for state licensing. Was the best career decision I have ever made to date. How many jobs can you do where you are happy to give your client a massage and they in turn are happy to see you and get a massage It is a win win. Larry is one of the nicest people I know. He is always professional, kind and works with his students.Excellent school and excellent exsperiance.Thank you Larry.Christina Norris More...

Overall a good school. They offer in house financing and each teacher brings something unique to the table. BE WARNED. If you are a working adult consider taking the extended course. When you start internship it adds 3-6 hours more work plus commuting time each week and when you start internship the hard subjects also begin. I was not aware that I would be spending close to 25 hours a week between commuting and school for my education when I signed up for the “14 hour week, 6 month school plan” if you care about your sanity, paying your bills, and soaking up your education I would recommend taking the slightly longer course. I found a job very shortly after graduating and the location was convenient for those living in South Austin. The teachers each have unique viewpoints for an interesting learning experience and Casie works very hard to make internship/makeup hours smooth for students.

I'll finish my course soon. This is a sweet little school located close to central Austin. Although small, it gives the students a chance to get a good grounding in massage therapy (theory, practical, business studies). It has its quirks and strengths. I think that the course is good value, and the hours suited my timetable well. It is worth considering if the location and hours and price suit you. I have a background in PT, and have enhanced and extended my skills and critical thinking somewhat. The teachers are knowledgeable and often entertaining, along with the peers in the class. My class feels like family - close and supportive. More...
