Let me start with what is important: Hire Tortica and your event will be AMAZING. We found Tortica very early in our planning process at a trade show in F'Burg. We had no plans of getting a planner because i consider myself very good at planning and we had 20 months to plan. We eventually fell in love with a venue that REQUIRED a day-of-coordinator so when we found Tortica and learned that she was so affordable (way less than the competition) it was a no brainer for us even if she was mediocre (which she wasn't). After talking with Her during our first session we quickly understood that we were dealing with someone who was a TRUE PRO. It wasn't just her market knowledge, and competency that attracted us to her. It really felt like we dealing with someone who was WAY out of our league, she was so impressive with her demeanor, foresight, candor, on-point suggestions, flexibility, and work ethic. She cut her teeth in this industry as a caterer and has since gained considerable experience as a full service planner. We were trying to be good stewards of our parents money (who contributed 75% of our budget) so we were of the mindset of pinching pennies and doing as much as we could by by ourself. Despite this frame of mind we were drawn to Tortica so much that we hired her as a full service planner AND the caterer of our wedding (When Mission BBQ opened my husband loved it so much we switched to that, but it was not because we didnt trust T). She basically became the heart and soul of our wedding and we put ALL our eggs in one basket. We were not disappointed. I dont think that wedding planners get paid enough because this woman (and her team) put SOOO many hours of plan and prep into this event of 20 months that i dont think we could have paid her proportional to her effort. This woman will make you feel like your event is the only thing going on in her life...to give an example: she cried when we accidentally saw our tables early. No more space to type! More...

Tortica and Crew at "A Family Affair Event Management". Thank you Thank you Thank YOU. For putting together a wonderful, beautiful, and exciting reception for Me and my Husband. We renewed our Wedding Vows of 30 years on September 27, 2015. Tortica and all, were able to pull together in a very short time frame, and Reception to remember. One that you would think would have been started in preparation a year ago. Tortica, met with us about 5 weeks before the date of the event. She listened and found out what we wanted to accomplish for a gathering that ended up being 85 people strong, was able to find a DJ in 3 weeks time, and a Husband and wife team who took photographs and videos. Tortica Keep us totally in the loop. She was fun to work with. The food was absolutely wonderful, simple and delicious. We were so surprised when we walked into the venue the bright yellow tablecloths, The beautiful fall colors everywhere. The cake table decorated with cup cakes and candy. Tortica and her Crew are very professional - in what they do. They are down to earth - Friendly - Their goal was to please me and my husband - to make our special day even more special. The succeeded highly. I would recommend them anyone that was looking for an excellent organization to work with. A Family Affair Event Management provided their services for my wedding on June 20, 2015. Tortica Anderson and her team made me feel so at ease that I literally was not stressed about anything getting done because I knew they had everything covered just by our meetings and phone calls. Tortica always kept me in the loop on everything that was going on. Let me just tell you that my reception hall was so beautiful, I think I had the biggest smile on my face just looking around the room at the decor.
