Aubrey Rose Weddings are amazing and created that special day that your daughter always dreams of and for the MOB, that is what you always want for your daughter's wedding. Kathy and her team did a fabulous job and the the vintage decorations and linens were breathtaking. Kathy's coordination with the vendors was flawless and made everything stress free for the family. We received so many compliments about how beautiful everything was from our guests. Hello all, I am Marissa! I am a coordinator contracted by this venue. I wanted to leave this review to clarify a couple things that were incorrect in previous reviews where my name and reputation had been questioned. I, however, will not call out names as it is completely unnecessary. I have only had one dissatisfied bride and groom out of all the weddings I've had. It is a truly unfortunate situation when a wedding goes wrong in so many ways as this one did. The venue did their best to accommodate their needs after the winter storm even though they recommended to reschedule. However, I understand there are things that could've been better.
When it comes to me being 'late', it simply is just false information. It was clearly written on the timeline I sent to the bride the time I would arrive and leave. The reason I was not there for the full 10 hour day as usual is due to my fee getting cutting in half. Even though I took half my usual rate to help this bride and groom, they wanted everything they would've gotten for my full price. That is just not reasonable! To be transparent, I received $250 for this wedding. To break it down for this who do not coordinate, my full fee includes: a 2 hour meeting one to two months prior to wedding, help with wedding planning or questions, and an 8-10 hour wedding day coordination. All together I usually put in 30-40 hours for each bride (split up), which is a usual work week. I try to go above and beyond for my bride/groom's and their families, but I can't just give one bride the full service for half price because then I'd have to do it for others; I have to make a living. When I got to the venue(30 mins early! scheduled at 1:30, arrived at 1) I immediately started fixing the issues that the bride mentioned to me to ease the situation. She even started feeling better, once she saw that I had it under control and let me know that. As mentioned in the beginning, this is not the usual reviews/feedback for me or for the venue. I am an organized coordinator with a passion to make client's special day, that much more special and stress free and I have many brides that can verify that! All in all, my heart goes out to this bride and groom for not having the wedding of their dreams. We are all human and we all make mistakes. We live and learn. I was actually a part of a wedding here last month. While the venue owners honestly seemed very nice, we showed up the day of the wedding with the venue not having been made ready for the wedding. 5 hours before the wedding, heaters had not been turned on, there was only one working bathroom, members of the wedding party and family had to clean up the venue from Christmas decor that had been left out, and also had to decorate for the wedding. Absolutely nothing was set up as promised.

Additionally, there was a dead roach on the floor in the bridal suite as soon as I walked in. While I understand that this is the country and bugs can oftentimes find their feet in the air in random places that we do not care to see them, this one had happily made his home in an area among dust. So therefore, I can tell you with certainty that this place does not do the "COVID cleaning" that they are charging all of their brides for. Also, there were these odd-looking gel-filled wine glasses sitting on the table for decor. Well, it was more of an appetite suppressant, since there was a layer of dust and various bug carcasses laying on top. So in order for us to enjoy our day and not vomit all over the pretty white couch, I moved these as far away from our activities as possible.

The wedding coordinator that the venue owners pushed the bride to use for nearly $1k had committed to showing up at the venue at 10am. However, she did not show up until 1pm, and felt like she could come into the bridal suite and (kindly) demand that we all go do our rehearsal. What are bridal parties usually doing 2-3 hours prior to a wedding, I might ask? She wanted us to stop all hair, makeup and photographic events to rehearse... because she was late and hadn't informed anyone that she would be 3 hours late. Also, I should mention her name is Marissa Reinmund.

Gabriel Porter (who has left reviews on this venue both here and on theKnot) is actually the owner's son and DJ that they do push all customers to use. Also, he lives on the property, in the actual "groom's quarters."

Now don't get me wrong, the venue was set in a very serene location. And the owners were nice to me that day. However, I just feel like they could have been a bit more professional. There was some uncomfortable gossip going back and forth during the day about the wedding party and family that we overheard; and later, the venue owner sent a text that was meant for her husband to the bride, referring to the bride in the slur term for a female dog. I was very disappointed, to be honest. I feel like they could do a lot better at being professional and honest with their couples, and hope to see that in the future. More...
