As authentic and close to Puerto Rico you will get going to this location. From the décor, wall art, and music make you feel super comfortable as if you back home. The service was great from start to finish. The alcapurria was definitely better than the empanadilla but they were both delicious. Love the uniqueness of their mofongos. It was well seasoned, juicy and definitely delicious! Their natural juices are oh so good. When coming to this location make sure you pay attention to the turn into the parking lot. I almost missed it. I definitely would be returning. More...

First and foremost, soy Boricua so my standards for Puerto Rican food are extremely high! I tried another local place and had a bad experience so I was quite apprehensive to try another. I'm SO glad that I came here. First, the wall murals are beautiful and there are so many wonderful details like the umbrellas when you first walk in, PR flag on the ceiling, Taino symbol of the coqui, and two Puerto Rican sports legends. Puerto Rican music was playing overhead (bachata at the time). Pro tip: if any PR restaurant is playing anything other than Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, or more rarely, Reggaeton, walk out! Very clean and tables were spaced nicely. Now to the food, we ordered a big variety and were incredibly pleased with EVERY dish. I will normally buy the dishes that are too labor intensive for me at home (alcapurrias, pasteles, mofongo, etc...). They were ALL delicious! This is a TRUE representation of Puerto Rican food. Bonus: it came out fairly quickly! I was very surprised how fast the food came out because we ordered so much. We will certainly be coming back! More...

I sat around for a couple hours not knowing what to eat. Randomly came upon this place and noticed they served chillo frito. I tend to only eat chillo when visiting the island because I've been disappointed in other places, including the East Coast. But this chillo and tostones were ON POINT!! The spicy pique only made it better. The tostones were not dry and even when cold, still tasted super good!! 787 definitely gained a new loyal patron! More...

Ordered beef and cheese empanadas - crispy outside and moist and delicious inside. Ordered pernil dinner with red beans and red rice, the pork was so amazing! It was very tender, and juicy. The beans were amazing too. Don't let the look of this place turn you away, the food is delicious! More...

This is a very good spot. My brother and sister recommended it to me and I must say it was a good choice. I had the garlic chicken with rice and beans. Everything was cooked nicely and there was no lack of flavor More...

We really enjoyed this place! Service was slow and menus were awkward, but the food was great in my opinion. Some of the older people in our group didn't love it as much, but the more adventurous ones loved it. We tried a lot of items but my favorites were the mofongos, arroz con gandules, and the pulled type pork. The pork especially had a great flavor. The murals were beautiful too. More...

We finally located this restaurant in a strip mall on Montana. We entered into a wonderfully colorful restaurant. The hostess did not speak English (or so we think, because we could not understand her) and she pointed us to a table. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. We decided, with her advice, to order the appetizer sampler plate to share between us. While we waited for our food, my friend ordered the passion fruit drink and I had a coconut fizzy soda. Our food arrived quickly and smelled delicious. Once again, our waitress pointed out everything on the platter. It was a wonderful sampling of different dishes. We talked and ate, and talked and ate. There was more than enough food for the two of us. I forgot, the platter came with two different dipping sauces that were wonderful. We really enjoyed trying all these new to us foods. We were able to have a great conversation because the music was not loud. We enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely go back. More...
