This tour was the highlight of our trip to Savannah. If you book through 6th Sense, request Dawn Martin. She was personable, asking everyone in our small group of 9 where they were from. She was knowledgeable about the cemetery and the people who are buried there. Her stories were entertaining, and she even sang to us! The cemetery is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. If you're considering a tour of Bonaventure, definitely do it. It was totally worth the money we spent. The tour was supposed to last 2 hours, but Dawn and our group got so involved, we ran over by about 20 minutes, but nobody minded. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! More...

There was so much to see and she encouraged us to explore on our own in the cemetery after the tour was completed because there was still more to see that could not be done in the time frame allowed for tours. This cemetery tour was far better than we expected. While we normally choose some type of ghost tour, we opted for a simple cemetery tour of the beautiful Bonaventure Cemetery as it is something we have wanted to do for years. The tour was very informative and took us to all the famous, and some relatively unknown, gravesites while explaining the history of the cemetery, the architecture, and the symbols on many of the headstones and tombs. I would highly recommend this tour as you will get your moneys worth as it did, as they say it normally does, go over the 2 hour window you paid for. Anyone who has fallen in love with Savannah like we have will fall in love with this cemetery and will want to own a plot here to live out their afterlife. We took the tour on the night of 19 March, with The Spirit Formerly Known as Prince as our guide. We had a fantastic time with the group, some of whom traveled from Canada and Iowa, to visit the nation’s most haunted city. Our guide regaled us with interesting and informative but also frightening tales. Thankfully, he also knew when to appropriately interject some humor to ease the tension after telling us about some heartbreaking or horrifying history.
