We spied this very cute coffee house on the way to our Airbnb and walked there the next morning.  They were friendly and admittedly short staffed, but it took twenty minutes to get our coffees and almost 40 to get our (fairly uncomplicated) food.  When I received my comically under-filled bbq sliders, I didn't get the included kettle chips.  I asked my server and they said they were "not included. Sorry."  I checked the menu knowing the server was incorrect--which they were.  I waited a few minutes for one of the several staff to emerge from the kitchen and after explaining, they brought me chips apologizing for the confusion stating they were "short on clean dishes."  I asked my partner how their grilled cheese tasted and they quickly replied "we're not coming back here."  Two stars because they were congenial.  Fortunately there are other coffee shops in town to choose from. We were in Sturgeon Bay on vacation. My husband found this place on Yelp. No wonder this has been voted the best coffee place around.  The staff was courteous and patient about explaining the different types of coffee. I had the avocado toast on ciabatta, my husband had the Belgian waffle. Both were delicious, the syrup was exceptionally good. Loved the varied options for seating: inside in several rooms, on the porch, or our choice, a beautiful outdoor area under the trees. Highly recommend, wish we didn't live so far away. More...

Very cute little coffee house with a pretty outdoor area. Really thought this would be a great little coffee place. However after more than a half an hour of waiting, we were still waiting for our coffees. When we finally got them, both coffee orders were wrong and one of them was a small instead of a large. We will not be coming back. PS, the coffee was meh. More...

If you are expecting to hop in and get lattes to go within 10 minutes forget about it! I have been here multiple times and I enjoy this place but just know that the wait times are longer than any other coffee shop. I know she was training someone but 25 minutes for two lattes is a long time to wait. I wouldn’t wait that long for my food at a fine dining establishment. More...

I do know I used to work for a gas station a little while back and the owner(hopefully it's still owned by him) never catch his name, would come in for ice all the time. He's q really nice guy. I never had a chance to get over there and the owner and I had talked about that fact. So one time I believe it was the first snowfall that year and I was shoveling the gas station's walkway, and he brought me over a small cup of a specialty flavor. It was amazing. So smooth. The food is always so inventive and the coffee beans they use are clearly very high quality. Not to mention the staff is always so appreciative and caring for all of the customers. The food is good, the coffee is outstanding (with an extensive selection of coffee drinks) and the wait staff/berriestas, are always friendly and efficient. What I love the most is the atmosphere. This place has two great things going for it: 1. The coffees and drinks are superb2. The atmosphere, sitting/dining areas both indoors and out are pleasant and add to the experience For those two alone, you should make a plan to go when they're open and support this honest business. Im dinging them for a couple of things though. They appropriately cautioned a 30 min wait on food... fine. We were in no hurry. But all my wife ordered was an avocado ciabatta toast, it came out in 40 and was two small pieces of ciabatta with avocado spread. I guess the wait compounded the poor experience of finally getting what turned out to be a small portion. Second thing I guess is the hours and days. It's closed Tuesday to Thursday... which is only annoying because it's so popular and worth visiting, but you have to plan ahead and will likely have a wait. More...

Wait time is ridiculous. 40 mins to order and 2 hrs waiting for lunch. Unless you want to spend  3 hours for your lunch waiting in the backyard and nothing to do, I would not recommend this place. By the way, toilet was out of order and when we asked if there is another restroom that we can use there was no response from the people working there. End up going to hardware store near by.Tip to owner - provide time estimate when people are ordering food if you are short staffed and people can make a choice to spend 3 hr or to leave More...

Absolutely unacceptable. Why they have good reviews I have no idea. Maybe their asking their friends and family to review. ?!! First I was a little worried because there was a million questions about our order. It took probably 15 mins just to order. The barista made a comment about how she can't make a macchiato iced. I had to explain to her how she can.  I've been a barista and worked in the restaurant industry. So I know first hand how unacceptable the service and food was. The food is WAY over priced. It was practically microwaved chicken. We ordered a soup, a salad, a wrap, and a egg bake with , The macchiato and 2 iced teas. Which all of that should have been already (in a restaurant) prepped and ready to assemble, no more than a 15 -20 mins. We waited an HOUR! For a meal that cost $62:  $70 with the tip, You tip before hand. We asked the status of our food after waiting 45 mins and they said they were just getting to it now. Don't fall for the cute and Instagramable appeal to the place. It's a total scam. There was practically no one inside and about 8 people outside. That's completely unacceptable for an hour wait. We didn't even get an apology until they brought out the food. Like waiting an hour is just a minor inconvenience "ops sorry". . It completely wasted so much time, That we didn't have anymore time left in our day to enjoy door county and sturgeon bay.  Don't waste your time or money. Unless you want a coffee to go. Which didn't taste right. (I'm Not sure their espresso bar is calibrated correctly or cheap beans) . But if you want to try it good luck I wouldn't plan on being anywhere soon. More...

Loved, loved, loved the vibe at this coffee shop!  If we were not on our way out of town I could have spent hours looking over every amazing decor choice inside and outside!  While it may take 10-15 to get your drinks and maybe a little longer for food during peak times, the atmosphere there is so inviting that it really didn't seem like we waited that long.  If you are going during peak hours, you just can't expect quick service.  So glad we didn't listen to other reviews about the long wait for drinks/food. We enjoyed our drinks and found the food to be delicious.  That said, the barista staff did seem a bit inexperienced, and my experience only recommendation would be to always have an expert barista staffed during peak days/hours.  We visited Sunday around 10am and ordered a miel and a flat white.  The flat white was more like a cappuccino without any foam and neither drink had any pretty art (not a huge deal, but based on the pictures on the website and the mention of "best coffee shop in Wisconsin" I expected art on our drinks).  What can I say, I love a pretty coffee! P.S. Be sure to visit the restroLastly, I would like to suggest considering  a case for your bakery items verses wrapping them in a plastic.  Better for the environment, less cost and better tasting bakery items.  That said, I did try the espresso scone and it was surprisingly good despite being wrapped in plastic.  Overall great place for coffee and breakfast!!  I would definitely go back when in the area. Giving only one star because of the pretty atmosphere. Plenty of seating and tables even on a 'busy' day, but the girl working the cashier position took 10 min to put the man in front of me drink order in when it was just a regular latte no special add ins or substitutions. My order of a drink and Egg slider took her time as well. My drink took 15 minutes to come out and 35 minutes for the puniest little egg McMuffin sandwich ever. I quite literally ate the sandwich in 3 bites. There was no seasoning on the egg, no salt or pepper, or anything besides the sickly sweet avocado dressing which looked more like relish than anything else. It was served with 'a side of mango' which was basically one of those cafeteria sugary fruit cups that was poured into a tiny condiment container. It was quite laughable actually. My drink was majority whipped cream that I didn't ask for and milk, barely any coffee in the drink at all, another sugary disaster. I asked for the drink iced, but it was warm with about 3 ice cubes floating around. If you're going to spend 12 bucks on 2 items you might as well find a place that is more timely and actually tastes like something. More...

The coffee is okay.  The service is crazy disorganized.  If they'd warned me that it was going to take 25 minutes I would've just chosen somewhere else.  The rundown.....at 10 minutes in, a young lady said she was going to work on my mocha and red eye next.  At some point later, my mocha was done and sitting on the counter for quite a long time, but I didn't KNOW it was mine.  Handing it to me while I waited at the counter was a mind scramble I guess??  It sat there at least 10 minutes and likely more.  The red eye was apparently the hold up.  The coffee decanter was empty so they had to brew more for the red eye.  That was about the 20 minute mark.  My mocha still sitting, it's crema dissolving.  I went to the car, told my husband his red eye was coming but no idea how long really.  Went back in, STOPPED the girl mid stroll, and asked about the red eye.  "Let me go check".  Brewing was complete apparently so she filled the cup and I ran!!  Notes - they gave us a card for a free coffee.  No worries, we live 400 miles away. ‍. Also, the young lady apologized for the delay and thanked me for my patience.  Appreciated but the place wasn't busy, half capacity I'd say. I see they are blaming covid for some of these issues.  The real problem in this case is not lack of staff or lazy staff.  They were all working at a steady pace.  The issue is profound lack of organization.  Nobody knows what anyone else is doing, and most the time it seemed any one worker didn't even know what they themselves were doing.  The atmosphere is quaint though if that's important to you.
