First off the food was delish! Great job chef for that. Tho.... my eggs benny was missing it's hollandaise sauce as for the waitress. .. she didn't act like she was new so I'm going to go with she was a complete ditz and extremely slow. We we're a party of 4. She didn't get our drink order correct. 2 coffees, 1 oj and 1 smoothie which took 10 min maybe. mind you we were 1 of 2 tables seated at the time. when she took our order I repeated it before she left our table to ensure she had it correct (which it was not when we finally got our food). I say finally because 2 more tables came in after we ordered. They had the other waitresses and guess what... they both got their food before ours . Then never came back to ask if we needed anything until 3 of 4 of us were done eating . I spoke with what I think was the manager/owner and never got an apology for the bad service from neither her nor him. Yes I DID leave a tip still. As I use to be a server. $5 on a $32 bill. no it wasn't a great tip. most people probably wouldn't have left anything after that crappy service. Googled places near me to grab breakfast and this place popped up 2 miles away from me. We headed over to downtown Norcross to give this place a try. I love the cozy atmosphere. There’s ample seating indoors and a cute patio out back. They even serve beer and wine. We had the breakfast burrito with the home fries and the challah French toast. Wow, the portions were great and the food look fresh as it arrived. The chicken sausage was flavorful with a really good texture. The burrito was colorful, perfectly wrapped, and bursting with flavor. Props to the chef because the sides were also not to be missed. The Gouda grits were cheesy and just salty enough with a nice thick texture. And whatever they are putting on the home fries, like old bay or something of the sort, gives them a very unique of flavor. I didn’t even need ketchup or salt for this meal, which says a lot. I have being a customer of 45 South for a month now. This coffee shop definitely ranks up as one of my all time coffee shops . The customer service is above par and all the staff are very attentive. The coffee shop offers a large selection of coffee drinks , breakfast items and pastries. Definitely a must visit when stopping off in the beautiful historic town of Norcross , Georgia. 45 South offers plenty of seating and has an amazing out door patio area. I highly recommend this coffee shop for group meetings, socializing with family and friends. It should be noted the coffee shop has an international atmosphere due to quite a few flags of various countries on display that represents the cultural diversity of the area. I had the opportunity to talk to owner and he made me feel so Welcome to this amazing coffee shop. The staff really got of their way to make sure that the customers are being taking care of. The coffee shop is very clean and has very clean restrooms. It should be noted I am from Dublin, Ireland originally and have traveled all over the world with the United States Marines. I definitely know a great Coffee Shop from all my travels and 45 South ranks up high on Coffee Shops as stated in the above. Lastly Cafe 45 offers free WiFi and is ideal for working on projects. My family treated me to a Father's Day brunch here, it was our first time visiting. We loved everything about it! The atmosphere was delightful, the food was great, and the owner and employees were very nice and cordial. I had the grit bowl and a side of biscuits and gravy and my meal was perfect. The grits were made with Gouda cheese and I was in heaven. I never had eaten Gouda cheese before then. Definitely a return visit is a must. Could not be more thrilled with the quality of food, drinks, and service. I had come here a few times for brunch on Sunday and very much enjoyed the food and coffee I got, so when I was looking for a venue for the bridal shower I was hosting I inquired here. Both Jeanette and Gene were so helpful through the whole process and went above and beyond helping with the set up and breakdown of decorations. Sunday brunch lasts from 9-3 pm. Arrived around 1; service was great and everything was deelish!! Since I am eating for 1. 3 people, I had the French toast and yes, ate all 4 pieces.
