My daughter wanted a lemon cake for her birthday and so I went on the hunt for a bakery that could grant her wish. Happened upon this spot and decided to try it. The cake was beautifully decorated and tasted good; however, it was dry on the outer edges so that was a bit of a disappointment. Not sure I would do another cake since I have seen this same comment in other posts. We did get a snickerdoodle and a soft spiced cookie on the way out and they were soft, chewy and delicious. Andrea and Nora at the front counter are extremely friendly, and the decoration inside is well-thought out and wonderful. They have cupcakes, cookies, bundts, and small personal sized "girlfriend" cakes with beautiful decorations . They have a pink champagne cupcake with icing that is beautiful and different. Good for small groups or to do work and read as there is a nice group table with rockers and some seating. The Blue Valley Library branch is a hop away. 3 Women and an Oven were a joy to work with for this out-of-town bride! We made an appointment, had a cake tasting, and booked on the spot! Our consultant did not rush us, answered all of our questions, and let us sample macarons as well, which ended up being the hit of our wedding! People could not stop raving about the bride’s strawberry cake and Guinness groom’s cake either! We had hardly any cake left and no macarons at all! They were great to work with via email since we only stopped by once more a year later and they also provided a small discount when they found out the groom was a veteran. I love that they provide you with a small, fresh cake on your anniversary so no need to worry about transporting cake home or unwrapping some freezer-burned mess a year later! We had a simple white cake for photos as well but after seeing some of their creations in the store, I have full confidence they could make anyone’s vision come to life! More...

I think I had 7 or 8 different flavors of cake at my wedding and they all tasted amazing-and looked even better! This place is great! I came in with a basic idea for a birthday cake for someone special and they made it a reality. It looked awesome! A guest at the party said there is birthday cake you eat because they serve it but this one, you want to eat. It did taste very good too. They have quite a nice showcase at their store as well. They are my go-to baker. If you have an idea - they will bring it to life. My daughter wanted a Paris themed Birthday Party. We came in with ideas of special flavored/colored French macaroons, Eiffel Tower cookies, poodle cookies and cookies with her name on them. I ordered my wedding cake from here and from the start everything was professional and wonderfully handled. My consolation was set up and samples given and I had a nice seat in the bakery where I was able to look at portfolios of work and menus for taste. Once ordered, everything was handled for me and even when I did not supply the correct materials they went out of their way to help me so my cake would be just as I envisioned it. Then it was delivered and flawlessly decorated and set up by the shop. I could not believe how smooth they got the buttercream to look and how fantastic and detailed the piping was. Last Friday, we enjoyed our wedding cake made by 3 Women and an Oven.  We ordered the Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Vanilla Buttercream Finish.  It came out BEAUTIFUL and was so DELICIOUS!  Many of our guests thought the same and paid us compliment!  I would like to pay a special thanks to our Wedding Cake Consultant, Christine Sullivan, who worked hard to fulfill our special requests.  She was an excellent communicator and professional salesperson.  3 Women and an Oven was a pleasure to work and we will most definitely be repeat customers! I loved visiting 3 Women and an Oven! Up until recently, I had only tasted their goodies ( they make amazing gifts!) but was finally able to visit the store. It's a cute little space that is adorable. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, though they were sadly sold out of their iced sugar cookies. They have an adorable table set up for meetings and several gorgeous display cakes along the back wall.  In the case was a variety of cookies, macarons, cupcakes, baby cakes (mini bundt cakes), girlfriend cakes, and bars. They even had a decent selection of gluten-free goodies! We opted for a mix of treats, including some of the baby bundt cakes, sugar drop cookies, macarons, and speciality cookies. The macarons are perfection - so far I've tried french toast (tastes like maple and cinnamon!) and mint chocolate - it had a yummy chocolate center. I've been pleased with everything so far. The customer service was amazing - the lady helping us was patient as we made our selection and friendly while ringing everything up. I wish I could rate this bakery 10+ stars! This was my first time at 3 Women and an Oven and I had such an amazing experience! I came in 2 weeks before my event to order a custom birthday cake. The bakery is a cute little boutique with fabulous cakes and pastries on display! I brought in a picture of a cake I found on Instagram and they were able to replicate it even better than the original!  The customer service here is EXCEPTIONAL! The owner was so nice (I didn't catch her name but she was the one with blonde hair) She gave me an early birthday cookie on the house! SO SWEET! I bought the fresh roses and cake topper separately and placed it on the cake myself!  I ordered an almond cake with two pink champagne macaroons. Not only did the cake look good, it tasted even better! I can't tell you how many comments I received on how great the cake was! I will definitely buy all my cakes from this adorable bakery. More...

The price was just where I expected it to be, and they were flexible with some last minute changes. We had our wedding and reception on separate dates and locations, but had a large, 3-tier cake and cookies at both. All desserts were incredibly delicious and beautiful! The wedding cake had an intricate design piped in black icing (tricky), and apparently some issue occurred upon delivery to the church. However, I never saw any evidence! They mended the problem on site and we heard nothing but compliments about our cake. Our reception cake had a complicated structure with folded fondant--it was even more beautiful than the wedding cake, and tasted just as good! At both events, we had snickerdoodle cookies (my groom's favorite). The service at 3 Women and an Oven can't be topped, the product is the best KC has to offer, and the value is great. This is the ONLY place I would recommend for a wedding! More...
