This fine establishment masters the parameters of what it offers. Was recommended to this restaurant by my cousin for a birthday dinner and this restaurant did not disappoint! The interior of the building is beautiful and nicely decorated for the holidays. Upon arrival, I was greeted by lovely staff and quickly seated for my reservation. I ordered the 4-dish tasting menu, which was overall delicious and the attention to detail was amazing -- even the menus were customized with a birthday greeting. Before each dish, the waiter was sure to explain what each plate entailed. I was particularly charmed by the richness of their scallops with gnocchi and tourtons des alpes, and the dessert options were just as delicious. My family and I decided to spend Thanksgiving in D.C. We booked this restaurant for our family of 5 on thanksgiving night. Luckily we were able to get a reservation. We absolutely loved our meal everything was exquisite. Our children ages 19, 15 and 11 all said it was amazing. We also got complimentary risotto plate and dessert plate for the table. 2941 is comfortable, with tables well spaced and pleasant views from the windows. The food was fresh, flavorful and beautifully prepared and served. The butternut squash veloute was smooth and flavorful. After the soup, I had the potato gnocchi. The gnocchi were delicate and tender. It was served with Moliterno al Tartufo, a cheese new to me, that provided intense truffle flavor. My partner had linguini alla chittarra, made with rabbit in a tomato sauce. He loved it. I was looking for a unique restaurant for my wife's birthday. Many reviews recommended 2941. I have to say, I was not disappointed. The outside grounds are gorgeous. The service was exceptional, and the meal was delicious. Had a medium priced bottle of Italian wine, it was perfect. My wife ordered the lobster spaghetti and I had the beef short ribs. The pastry desserts were exceptional. The ambiance and mood is relaxed yet attentive to every detail. I'm sure the grounds are beautiful during daylight hours. However, we were seated in a small corner on a very quiet Tuesday evening,  and my only view was a reflection into the windows of the venue behind me. Inquire about your seating on the reservation. What an amazing place! Food is unreal, service spectacular, and the ambience unlike anywhere else in Northern Virginia. We just hosted our office Christmas party here (as we did last year) and everything was perfect from the food and drink to the festive decoration. If you feel fancy and fine, I would highly recommend this place. My fabulous hubby brought me here for my birthday and at first I wasn't so sure but so glad he took me. The food was top notch, service was attentive without being intrusive and the ambiance was romantic. We started with the crispy calamari. Now the calamari alone would've been just bland but the two dipping sauces that came with it really brought it home. My hubby got the scallop entree and I had the sea bass. Both were seasoned to perfection and cooked just right. We then ended with the pear dessert and also a free birthday dessert (maybe a soufflé of some sort? Not sure but all I know was it's gooooddd), and some chocolate peppermint bark complimentary of the pastry chef. Now if you're looking for a more upscale dining experience in the Northern Virginia area, please consider checking out 2941 Restaurant. You really have to pay attention when approaching as it's easy to accidentally pass it. Especially the valet entrance which looks like a larger walking path than a drive way. Pull up to the complimentary valet and enjoy the stunning visuals of the man-made water features and gigantic koi fish wishing about! This is definitely a place where I'm sure many selfies are taken, and who can blame them!!?The bar was well lit, beautiful, and the bartenders know how to make a mean GunSlinger. I drank my down in 5 minutes. THAT is how delicious it is! The food was excellent and beautiful prepared. This restaurant is one of the indicators that I know that I am a foodie. I spent a good portion of the ride back home with my partner raving about the food. I came here for my partner's job's holiday party. And although it was a pre-fix limited menu, I secretly wished I could've had everything on the menu that we did have. Prior to the party, me and my partner got cocktails at the bar. He got the gun shot, I got the old thyme. Although I liked mine, his cocktail was superior. With egg whites, habenero, honey, and other ingredients, it is so smooth to drink, but also potent if overdone. At the dinner, I got the oeuf meurette, the 8oz steak, and the pear tart dessert. Everything, and I mean everything, I tasted was delicious. From the hors d'oeuvres served before we sat down and were still mingling, the bread served before the appetizers, all the way up to post dessert when they served coffee and a sweet caramel yogurt popcorn. Each food with a different taste, texture, and flavor profile that made you regret when you took your last bite, but made you excited to what they'll be serving next, until the point where you throw in the white towel and surrender because the food won and you are full. The service, just as amazing as the food. I am immensely impressed that there was such a great attention to detail. My wine, their house Cabernet Sauvignon, never hit less than halfway down the glass before someone was ready to top it off. Same goes for the water. The interior? Gorgeous. Plenty of selfie opportunities. And valet parking? Score! I'm curious to revisit when it's not a paid-for party. But regardless of the price, they did a fantastic job at converting me. Hands down such an amazing restaurant with great food and great service!! I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was soooooooooo good! !! I wish I took the pictures of the oysters we got for our appetizer because it was pretty and tasty! Beforehand, I called the restaurant, told them about the birthday, and asked for a seat by the window. The moment we came, everything was very smooth and we were so well taken care of. The server was so enthusiastic and caring to make sure we had a great experience. He thoroughly explained the dishes along with his recommendations. Let me first say that ribeye was amazing. Everything from sauce, how the meat was cooked, and how the veggies were cooked, were absolutely perfect. We also had the sides of potato things... I don't remember what they were called, and it was perfect too! For dessert we got a cake with rum that they put on fire!!! Not only was that super cool, but it was like having a show while eating! Super memorable and recommend getting it. The outside view was amazing too. They have nice waterfalls and it's romantic to walk around. My companion and I went for the Thanksgiving pre fixe. The appetizers and deserts were excellent. The turkey entree was fine, though nothing special. The filet mignon was ordered rare/medium rare and came medium. We returned it and the replacement arrived cut in half to ensure that it was properly cooked. Unfortunately, it was the most tasteless filet either of us has ever eaten (we're in our mid-60s). We each had two glasses of wine and they were generally acceptable. However, the waiter maneuvered my companion into buying a glass of their special ($25) red wine, which was nothing special and grossly overpriced.
