Went there for my 21st birthday, got a promoter and ended up having a great time!! Read reviews before hand and was scared I wouldn't have a good time, but you just have to go out and experience it on your own. The DJ was great too!!!

I celebrated my birthday at the Argyle yesterday and I LOVED IT! We got there at around 11pm and it filled up pretty quick. At around 11.20pm everyone was dancing and jumping on the tables. The energy was so good. I haven't seen something like that in LA in a very long time and I've never seen a female DJ before in a club but wow she was very beautiful and made everyone dance!!!! The service was great and we had a lot of fun! They switched the DJ at one point and it kind of brought down the energy so I feel like it died out pretty quick and we left at around 1am. We came here because our buddy was dj-ing and for a Christmas toy drive. It's really cool that a club will put an event together during the holidays to benefit the less fortunate. The sound system is pretty awesome and the cooling smoke machine is a must when there's so much people on the dance floor. The bar has a wide selection of hard liquor and bottles beer, but sadly nothing on draft. The bartenders were super nice, which is refreshing in contrast to the standard Hollywood bartender. The promoters and security were also super accommodating. I enjoyed the decor and all the lights on the ceiling. Drinks were around $10-12 which is normal for the area. As far as parking, we were able to find street parking around 11pm with ease. The craziest thing is that when we walked into the club around 11pm is was pretty empty, but within a half an hour people started funneling in, and by 12am it was packed. More...

I've been clubbing since I first had a fake ID at 19, and have been in numerous clubs throughout Los Angeles. My days of dancing on couches in five inch heels and taking Grey Goose to the head are over, but I definitely feel like I've seen enough nightlife to discern a great establishment. I've been to a number of awesome upscale nightclubs but Argyle is easily one of my favorites. The doormen are extremely professional, organized, and experienced at what they do. Once you're inside the ambiance rivals that of any large nightclub around the country. There is bottle/table service, multiple bars, and security is extremely on top of patrons who are overly intoxicated, aggressive, etc. It's consistently an attractive crowd, the DJs consistently made me discover great songs that I was unaware of and remember good hits that I had forgotten about, and the staff is extremely hard working. I love the Argyle! I would say that it has an interesting layout...the majority of the floor was for tables. A long strip down the club was the only available space to dance. The drinks are good, the music is good (a mix between EDM and hip hop, depending on when you are there.)Watch your step going down to the bathrooms. When hanging out in Los Angeles (especially Hollywood) I always try to plan ahead -- because it's very crowded. First, whenever we have a large group we always come together to get a table, it's really easy to make a reservation online at Argyle's website. Split between all of us, it comes out to what we spend on drinks individually anyway. This also helps us skip the line.Second, expect to deal with lines if you're heading here individually and during peak hours. If you have to, I would get there early, grab a drink before the crowds and avoid the wait. Third, UBER! I see a lot of parking complaints -- you're going to deal with that anywhere in Hollywood.That all aside, the place is a lot of fun! I've been here 5 times and I've never really had a problem. I always get in pretty quickly with my friends or when I go with just my boyfriend ($20-$40 cover charge for guys; free for girls). The promoter always gets us a table with unlimited alcohol and it's usually a good time. The music is good (all hip hop) and I've never witnessed anyone getting kicked out but I've heard it's highly likely. Maybe I just get lucky cause I've been caught multiple times smoking while dancing on the booths and they just tell me to put it out and go to the designated smoking area. The only issue with me is that the place gets packed (small venue) and there are a lot of drunk people spilling their drinks everywhere (myself included probably lol). We came here after poppy bouncer was a racist dick. We didnt have a promoter or part of a party but we told the bouncer we are celebrating our friends birthday and he was very kind to let us right in. We had the best time!! I was there with a new friend. It's not well organized it's probably a little confusing. Some of the employees are kind of well missing something. I don't understand how a night club has such low ratings lolA place made for fun and drinking and an excuse to wear that dress that's so short you're affraid of being mistaken for a street walker while you wait outside for your Uber, what's not to love I always have fun when I'm here, I find the staff to be extremely friendly, especially for a night club in Hollywood and the music is literally  standard night club music I literally have never had a complaint about the music there.  I don't think I've ever gone there with out someone in the group having a bottle/table , I've gone there with both promoters and a friend of mine always just buys a table here whenever they're in town  and staff has been good to me and everyone I'm with no matter what group I came with.  I've seen it pretty much dead and I've seen it packed, it's definitely a later crowd there though. I know I've bought beers here and i don't remember how much they were but I don't think they were absurdly expensive. I've honestly never had a bad time here. But for real, i have the ultimate secret to never having a one star experience at almost any night club (actually  two different secrets), if you're having a bad time at a night club or feel some type of way about a mix up or something, have the most sober person in your party approach a staff member who looks the least busy and BE POLITE. Staff at clubs has drunk people waiving dollars at them like they bought a pass to be king of the world and barking orders and complaints all night long, people trying to haggle prices, people just aggressive bc they're drunk and confused, all types of not so fun things, keep that in mind while voicing your complaint.  courtesy and attitude can make a one star night much better.  If everyone's drunk and unhappy and you have a legitimate complaint but no one's taking you seriously (think about it tho WOULD YOU TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY?  drunk you dancing to two chains spilling your drink on the dance floor one minute and slurring a complaint to a bathroom attendant the next *we've all been there*)Most clubs really want people to come to them and if youre too drunk to communicate clearly calm down keep dancing to two chains and send an email to whoever you made your reservation with or whatever in the morning and although this has never happened to me personally here so idk how they handle email complaints but typically if you have at least a little bit of legitamacy to your issue someone, somewhere, somehow, will most likely try make sure the next time you come to dance to two chains you'll have a much better story to drunkingly slur at the bathroom attendant. By far the best upscale club in all LA. Me and 15 friends had table service and were treated with the best hospitality by the servers and hosts. The tables, the floors and bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in a nightclub. The place was jumping and the dj played the best music all through the night. Great place ... if your a guy looking to meet and hang out with beautiful girls this is the place. I live across the street I see the crowd walk in every weekend from my balcony I love it - it's literally a stampede of legs, high heels and short skirts. Yes there are a handful of Gomer Piles outside reviving up their Lamborghini's but isn't that fun / funny? Isn't that everywhere? Can you really take a club seriously? It's a club in Hollywood? have fun. It's crowded you will occasionally get moved around ...they won't know they even did it, if your a medium and squeezed in an XS you won't get treated like an xs. As far as staff goes what do you expect Liam Neeson and Jason Bourne working the door? Again...It's a Hollywood Club!!?
