AnneMarie is a dream photographer for a family who generally dislikes having pictures taken. She has great rapport with my shy kid, and easily coaxes smiles out of big & little kids for posed photos, as well as capturing great candids that reflect individual personalities. She is extremely professional and responsive, always flexible, and is never short on creative ideas for different shots. AnneMarie was so wonderful to work with! Not only is she super responsive (we communicated a lot leading up to our shoot re: logistics {and outfits}), but she is sooo professional. We loved our photo shoot (and our photos) with AnneMarie Hamant! Beforehand, she advised us via e-mail on outfits that would look good on camera, and gave input about photos of several combinations I sent her. The day of, she had scoped out good locations ahead of time and struck a perfect balance of planned but flexible. Her flexibility and calm nature were especially important to get great photos of our 13-mo old daughter. She captured natural, authentic moments of all three of us, including some nursing photos that I will treasure. By the time she posted preview photos quickly on Facebook, we could already tell that we were going to have a tough time choosing which ones to select for printing! I can't say enough good things about our experience with AnneMarie! She was super responsive to any questions that we had and helped us coordinate our clothing for our session. She arrived at our photo shoot location early to scout everything out and had a clear vision of where the best places to photograph would be. She also did a great job interacting with our 3 year old and 1 year old. We couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out - AnneMarie has a great eye for photography and her use of light is amazing. We scheduled a family photo shoot with AnneMarie Hamant at the Trexler Preserve.
AnneMarie not only captured some posed pictures of our family, but also
caught candid moments between us. She spent over 2 hours with us and found
unique and interesting locations for us to shoot. I cannot say enough about
AnneMarie's abilities and her professionalism. She has enabled us to
capture special moments with our children that we will treasure for a
lifetime.

This is our 3rd photo shoot with Annemarie Hamant Portraits & Stories, and we continue to be incredibly impressed with her photos. She has a unique gift for capturing lovely genuine moments without the photos feeling posed or artificial. She has an eye for artistry, color and light. She is wonderful working with children, and comes prepared to each photo shoot with little tips and tricks for capturing their attention and keeping them engaged. For instance, just when our 2.5-year-old daughter was nearing the end of her attention span, Annemarie pulled out bubbles from her bag that got our daughter re-engaged in the session! AnneMarie has a great talent for capturing the beautiful personalities in the people she is photographing.
