We booked Texas Wine Tours for our girls weekend, and could not be more happy with our choice! We did the 3 wine tour and our driver, Bobby, was phenomenal. He gathered all our bags after each stop and carried everything for us. He was kind and knowledgeable and took great care of us. We were so impressed with our ride as well. We went on a weekday tour which was great as not as busy as the weekends. Lee was our driver/ tour guide. He was such a lovely man. Not only did he contact us before hand to let us know which wineries we would be visiting but he also made delicious homemade cookies for the tour. He was very knowledgable about the history of the wine country and Fredericksburg. The tour itself was brilliant and Lee even changed one of the winery stops based on the wine tastes of the people on the tour. The tour bus was really comfortable and plenty of water and snacks. It was such a great afternoon myself and my husband had a fantastic time and we will definitely use Texas Wine Tours again. There are so many wineries to visit we look forward to returning. I highly recommend a weekday tour. Not only is it a better deal, but it’s very personalized. The wineries were able to spend quite a bit a time with us. Shane was an excellent tour guide/host/driver! Very personable and took great care of us. We did the 4 winery tour with lunch and it was so much fun. The bus was comfy, stocked with water and snacks. The seats were roomy and Shane was a good driver. Dropping us off at the doors and cooling down the bus before we got back on at each stop. I can’t recommend this tour company enough. It was our first wine tour. Seth our driver was excellent! Very knowledgeable not only about the wine but the community as well. Would have liked to see more of the larger wineries. We didn't care for the drive of 30 minutes to Johnson city for a wine tasting. However, he did swing by Lukenbach for a few minutes so it was a nice side stop. This is my second tour with the Texas Wine Tour company, and my second time to have Jerry as our escort. I will tell you my tour the second time around was just as enjoyable as the first. Jerry is very knowledgeable regarding the history of the town and Texas as well as the process of wine making, tasting and pairings. TWT always plans out the best wineries for your group and ensures you have a great time. And our group combined with two couples one of which ended up being Randy's son and his girlfriend and friend. This totally complimented our group dynamic, this group along with my group totally gelled and we had a great time together! We had an incredible time with Bob for my sisters bachelorette party!! He made sure we were all taken care of and hung with us all day. Our family booked my husband and I a surprised trip to Fredricksburg and this wine trip. We had a really great time and we loved our tour guide. My only complaint there was a couple who was late to there meeting spot and the tour guide called them multiple times so after 30 mins of waiting we left. 15 mins later the couple called and we had to turn around to go back and get them. I would suggest maybe a better policy to this issue. Otherwise I highly recommend my favorite winery was Massina Hof and the general manager that served us. More...

We went to 3 different wineries which Tim helped to pick out and we loved all of them. He picked us up in Austin and we had plenty of water and snacks for the ride to Fredricksburg. Bachelorette party with some complete wino newbies (aka me) had the MOST AWESOME TIME thanks to the good weather and our driver Johnny who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The morning of Johnny arrived on time with a smiling face, water, snacks and camera ready hands. Each of the 4 wineries we visited had something different to offer- we went from super fancy to personal/friend's backyard to modern combo to well the only winery we asked for by name- Fat Ass Winery. Stretch limo upgrade was well worth it- but it took us a handful of minutes to get the air and music system turned on. The buttons were completely worn off and there was no instructions available- which would have saved us a lot of time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone- newbie or experienced. YOU WILL HAVE FUN AND you will get white girl wasted if you don't eat/drink water with EVERY stop. More...
